Game Thread: Seton Hall vs. Monmouth

There is something majorly wrong with this team from top to bottom. The coaching and the players.

This would be the worst loss in years for this program.

There's gotta be some heat building on Sha's seat, right? I've been pro-Sha the whole time but when you lose to Fordham and Hofstra then can't even complete with Monmouth...look failure to complete with UConn is an NIL issue, failure to complete with Monmouth is a very different issue.
shouldnt sha get the 5 year leash like willard?

Let’s take off the blue colored glasses and realize Sha is 0/3 in building a complete roster here. That alone is a major red flag

More BS from you. One trick pony. An elite 8 NIT championship, 13 BE wins and three wins over UCONN IN three years says otherwise. I said you can question his recruiting and he’s certainly not perfect but your relentless negative takes lose all credibility.

No one care about the NIt championship. Its a nice story- means literally nothing though to 99% percent of people and players. I do agree they were snubbed last year. But Sha needs to be on the hotseat. This is going to be three years with no NCAA and losing to monmouth like this is the lowest point for the program in like 8 years.

Beat UConn with their best player hurt last year. Won the NIT with half the competition sitting the tournament out.

The Elite 8 run was great. But that sha has been non existent here
come on, there were 3 snubs last year and a large bubble. NIT was legit competition. youre just looking to spin it a ridiculous way.

its NIL year are you really counting every year as a realistic slate to build a new and complete roster?

his stance is to take damaged goods, thats looking wrong this season. but not a crazy path to take. this is the only year thats been even close to "bad"

And what kind of loser holds their hat on the the NIT championship? It’s a bracket/tournament for teams that weren’t good enough to make the main tournament.

I couldn’t care less about the Elite 8 run with Saint Peter’s. I’m a Seton Hall fan, not a Saint Peter’s fan.

i mean, winning the NIT certainly means you aren't a bad team. they were snubbed for the tournament. so hes on the hot seat because the comittee was ass?

This would be the worst loss since at least the Gonzo era. Add on our previous horrendous losses and I’d argue this is the lowest point since I started following the program in 07-08.

Year 1 wasn’t NIL
Year 2&3 are just excuses that we haven’t done so because far lesser schools have evidently built complete rosters

No Willard didn't take over a program that was in the tournament consistently.
willard tanked the roster in his last year and then NIL happened. willard's teams were bad for a long time.

stop. you're wrong. btw this guy has won more than one game in the tournament. that alone is the cutoff.

UCONNS center missed 40% of the game and had 6 points up to that point. The two best teams in the NIT made it to the final and SHU won. Get your facts straight.

year two was GOOD lmao. excuses for a good year?

btw we have relentlessly explained to you how he has constructed the roster in NIL era to date and YES it makes sense.

Missing the entire second half when the score was within striking distance is pretty significant

St. John’s sat out the NIT. After what they did to us in The BET that’s a pretty significant “fact”

these players are horrendous. dual, toumi, i mean these guys are legit not basketball players. dont belong in D1

if that was willard you'd be hanging the banner. we missed the ncaa because the comittee was biased . thats why.
Keep making excuses for this. Whatever helps you sleep at night. If we have a backup point guard when Kadary gets hurt we don’t lose to PC when they were in shambles after the Hopkins injury.

The one trick pony . That’s all you got.

He needs to adapt. You can't just coach / care about one side of the ball at this level

This is pretty much on point. More than anything thought, at least for today, this team was not ready to play at all. I mean it looked liked they wanted to be doing anything but playing basketball today. That is absolutely on the coach.
