Great and unexpected win by the Giants. Jones and Barkley played at a playoff level. Lawrence becoming
a very good player.

Giants and SHU Pirates! Could be some good months coming up to look forward to. Now Jets need to keep up the momentum.

Giant win is right. Head coach, staff and GM are just night and day different and better than the idiots from the last regimes. Daniel Jones has done everything the new coaches have asked of him. Football is fun to watch around here again. Jets should be 0-4 and are 2-2 going into day.

I would also like to hear Dan's take on the Jets.

This Giant team always plays hard and that’s a tribute to the coaching staff especially the head coach. The other strength that I see is how well they make the necessary adjustments both in-game and especially at halftime which why I believe they have begun becoming a 2nd half team. Great win today and totally unexpected .

Best Giants regular season win in years. Nothing more to say, lol.

The value of good coaching in the NFL. They are schemed well, adjust well to what they have and within games, they motivate well. The talent is being coached up this year.

Outstanding to see finally.

So, 4-1 is a great place to be especially with several winnable games on the schedule. I think we have to be cautiously optimistic and Yes the “P” word is not out of the equation. The good news is that they played that game without several of their best defensive players. The WRs are adequate for now and maybe the injured guys will contribute. They seem to be prepared for most in game situations and that is refreshing. I still believe they are not very talented on defense and have to upgrade in the future. On offense we still need to see if Jones can continue to play at an above average level at the QB position. Anyway, barring a total collapse they should be playing meaningful games the rest of the way.

Offensively, this team is getting a big boost from our TEs who can all block. Not many folks mentioning that and Bellinger can catch and run after the catch. To me the TEs have become a huge difference maker in the run game and helping on pass plays (blocking and getting open). Good riddance to Evan Engram. The O line is starting to gel and with more of a focus on the run game has looked much better. The D is amazing me. What Wink is doing to some very good QBs is beyond belief IMO. We are on our 3rd and 4th string CB in some cases and have had a revolving door at LB and he is holding those kids together and the D is playing well. We have some talent along the D line with Dex and Williams. The safeties are playing extremely well. Love is a hitter and McKinney a difference maker. If we could settle in at the CB position we could continue to improve defensively. Special teams got a big break yesterday with the muff but overall special teams has been solid. This staff is putting our best foot forward and getting these kids to believe in all phases. And have to give a lot of credit to D. Jones - kid is tough and getting better each game (something I thought I would never say - still not sure he is the guy but he is making a believer out of me and many others). Hoping it continues. Good coaching across the board and much better roster management. Get the cap troubles behind us and these guys can bring in more talent and away we go.

Agree with all the positive commentary. Talent-wise, I think the roster is still one of the worst in the NFL, and that's not even accounting for some of the injuries. But credit to all the guys who seem to be maximizing their ability and to the coaches for putting them in positions to succeed.

All good points. And man I am glad to see that Patrick Graham sit back defense is gone. You don't have to get sacks. Making the QB get rid of the ball before he wants to and knocking down passes at the LOS is just as good.
With Judge and Graham Giants lose 2-3 of these games this year.

Exactly! What this coaching staff is doing with this limited roster is amazing.
They’re taking what they have and figuring out what they can do. It’s usually been taking what you have and forcing it into a rigid system around here. Fun to watch.

I’ve said all along it wasn’t fair to evaluate Jones with what he had around him. Mara said the same when he hired Schoen. He still has little talent at WR and the pass blocking is mediocre though better than he’s had to date in his time with the Giants but has found a way to flash his talent. There was an analytics specialist who had some interesting stats. Average Receiver separation in the league is a little over 3 yards. The Giants receiver average separation is around 1.5 yards. They had 2 players in bottom half of league with at least 13 targets, Richie James 2.9 and Sterling Shepherd at 2.7 who’s now out for season. Galloday doesn’t even qualify for the stat but he was 1.7 last season and was worse this year. That basically means Jones has to fit every pass into a 1.5 yard window. It’s amazing he has a completion percentage of 67%. He’s also 3rd in the nfl with 21 rushing first downs. That’s all players not QB’s. He’s 31 in the league overall rushing yards. His rushing is almost identical to Josh Allen. Allen has a stronger arm, there is no arguing that but Jones arm is plenty strong. Given a chance I think he can be top 10 QB under this staff. Based on what he’s shown this year there is nothing better at the college level
