MEN'S BRACKETOLOGY

How is St. John's still on the bubble as "next four out"? They shouldn't even be in the conversation at this point.

14-12 (6-9)

Who is their marquee win at this point? "Last four in" Butler. That's their best win.

The Pitino effect is real. Are they even on the radar if Anderson is still coaching with the same record? I honestly think the pollsters will have them in if they finish 10-10 in the Big East. No way an Anderson-led 10-10 team would've landed a spot in the tournament, but we have to face facts that the Pitino name is adding that much value to an undeserving team.

We’re on the right side of the bubble but obviously still more work to do. All our games are play in games as they are for other teams with similar profiles. I still think 19-12 with wins over UCONN & MU gets us in— barely.

The PJ effect got us into the dance in '94: 8-10 in BE.

And Creighton certainly repaid the favor for that 1 point loss, 79-57

Butler’s biggest win was at Creighton, that’s what’s keeping them hanging around

Gonzaga has one win vs kentucky. nothing else. why are they considered?
The field has to be filled out somehow and you need 36 at-large teams. Once you get down to those last half dozen or so spots, you have flawed teams. Add to that, there are very few mid-majors with solid resumes.

Indiana State, Drake, Grand Canyon, McNeese State, Princeton and James Madison are the only ones in the NET top 60. Indiana State, Grand Canyon and McNeese State are auto qualifiers and the other three don't have a strong enough at-large profile to get in. It's very likely none of those six teams are in the field when all is said and done.

This right here is the strongest argument against expanding the field even to 72.

maybe its just the feeling most people are finding every reason why shu shouldnt be in the tournament and every reason why gonazaga, sju, butler etc should be in the tournament.

its probably because im a fan of shu lol.

We really need to win this game Saturday. Keep the momentum going, get to 11-5 to keep pace with Creighton, and jump far ahead of Butler in the NCAA pecking order. Butler will drop to 15-12 in Division I and 7-10 BE with a loss. Tough to justify a bid with those numbers, and all they have left is @ DePaul and SJU/XU at home. Tough to move the needle even if they win all three.

Crazy. Any other year or any other conference 10-5 in big east would make you a lock and probably no worse then a 7 seed..

And the thing is, while GU and DP are bad, the other 9 teams all have a shot at the tourney. Lots of bubble sitters to be sure, but none of them are easy wins.

16 tough games out of 20
