Dear Pirates Fan:

Intercollegiate athletics continues to experience rapid change. Among the many changes, the adoption and substantial evolution of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) dominates the discussion and attention of all those connected to college athletics. First and foremost, Seton Hall Athletics is committed to ensuring our student-athletes have a world-class experience at Seton Hall. A new and important aspect of that experience is our athletes' ability to earn from their NIL.

Hall Ball Events officially launched in June 2022 with the goal of supporting Seton Hall student-athletes by facilitating legal and compliant NIL opportunities and helping them prepare for the future. Hall Ball Events was endorsed by Seton Hall University as the best option for matching Seton Hall student-athletes with opportunities to receive financial compensation under the NCAA's new NIL policy.

Hall Ball Events was created through a partnership with G3 Marketing/ProCamps and the Team First Foundation (501c3). Alumnus Eric Liebler '99/M.B.A. '01 in his role as President of G3 Marketing has been critical in helping launch these efforts with his extensive background in building camp experiences and first-class events that have provided excellent NIL opportunities for our student-athletes, who are doing meaningful work within the local community.

As the NIL landscape continues to grow, we have been incredibly fortunate to have alumni step up to assist with these efforts. Specifically, I am excited to announce that alumnus, Michael Frungillo '00 will now help lead the fundraising efforts of Hall Ball Events and utilize Eric and G3 Marketing for student-athlete NIL opportunities.

To tip off this exciting new partnership, Hall Ball has announced that thanks to a group of anonymous alumni and friends, all contributions made to Hall Ball Events this summer, between May 1 and September 4 (Labor Day) will be matched dollar for dollar up to $350,000! This is an incredible opportunity to boost Hall Ball's NIL offerings for our student-athletes, and we are thankful to the generous support of our anonymous supporters.

You can make a gift directly to Hall Ball Events by visiting their website: www.hallballevents.com. Remember that every dollar donated before September 4 will be matched up to $350,000!

Our athletics department is also adapting, and I am thrilled to welcome Michael McBride to the Seton Hall family as he will join us in the new role of Deputy Athletics Director for Revenue Generation, NIL and Strategic Initiatives. Mike brings extensive collegiate athletics experience to our department and will be directly involved in the oversight of Seton Hall Athletics NIL initiatives and strategy as well as marketing, development, sales, fan engagement, and communications.

Our athletics department has much to be proud of and a bright future ahead of it. Your contributions as a member of our Seton Hall community has always been critical to our mission, and as we continue to raise money for new Men's and Women's Basketball practice facilities and for the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund, NIL now plays a new and important role in how you support Seton Hall Athletics. For Seton Hall teams to continue to compete, we need to attract and retain quality student-athletes, which in today's world includes supporting their efforts to benefit from their NIL.

(Please note that Hall Ball Events is a separate organization, and a contribution to Hall Ball does not affect Seton Hall Lifetime Giving or allow you to receive institutional credit for your gift.)

Go Pirates!

Looks like Bryan Felt broke some great news.

Now this might sound like nothing important to many but let me explain.

Mike Frungillo has become the face of the school's NIL. Why is that a big deal? Because his family owns the Highlawn Pavilion (https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rel...es-acquisition-of-highlawn-inc-301273108.html)
and as you can imagine they are beyond financially loaded as well as being incredibly generous to the school.

A couple of months ago the family donated $1M to the Practice Facility as well as catering every SHU event on and off campus.

Also, Mike made a huge donation to our NIL pool and you know with him helping to lead the fundraising efforts of Hall Ball Events donations both from him and his family are going to continue.

Now it's our turn. If you're reading this you are obviously a BIG SHU fan. For us to succeed we need your financial support. Give what you can and we will see the spoils of that giving on the court as soon as this upcoming season.
