Seattle

When we lived there Ken Daneko owned a restaurant (Mezzanote) which was ok. It was a great town to raise kids.
I met Kenny a number of times - my bro in-law was good friends with him. We have a great pic of my nephew as a 2 yr old in the Stanley Cup at Kenny's house. Mezzanote was very good for a time (right near the old Howard Savings Bank). I grew up in Cedar Grove and know the area very well. Mattarazzo's farm was a spot we used to hit all the time, Cloverleaf etc. We venture back there to have dinner with friends who live in the area.

Great story on Kenny. I used to run into Bernie Nichols at the dry cleaner and I believe both of the first Russian players (Fetisov and Starikov) lived in town. Ran into Sergei once. My favorite was Caldwell Pizza with the owner making pies with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. You knew damn well that some of the ashes found their way into the sauce...lol. Palate Pleaser was a great place too.
