This will be the only thread on Covid here

It was not edited…just the doddering fool we have occupying the Whitehouse struggling to string a sentence together. Do you even know what the definition of out of context is? It’s not out of context, it’s an outright lie. Merge already confirmed it was said…multiple times and repeated by everyone on the left.
30s clip = edited. unless the entire press conference was 30s long lmao

merge confirmed that clip is taken wildly out of context

I was just responding to SHUSA’s post.

I’ve never questioned the effectiveness of the vaccines. And you’re right, there is no reason to exaggerate.
I do question the effectiveness. When study on Israel showed 85% of new cases are of vaccinated people I don’t consider that effective. It is and has always been that people with co-morbidities are at risk for severe cases. Most common is obesity. If you’re a healthy person under 70 you don’t need the jab. I personally know people in their 80’s, no jab and got it and we’re fine. These were active healthy 80+ people. If you’re frail or sickly or have some health risk, take the jab, you have nothing to lose whether it’s effective or not. However, in no way shape or form should these be mandatory for anyone.

I do not support build back better. It is code for authoritarianism.
Lol, sorry I though the post was from B SHUSA.

He did no such thing. He said he shouldn’t have exaggerated AKA lied. Your editing comment insinuated it was doctored or spliced to make him appear to say something he didn’t.

A few things to note here…unfortunately politicians dumb down messages for the lowest common denominator, many don’t have time to listen to all the background so a 10 sec snippets become the message also bc many only have that sort of attention span, lol. Lastly as more data is accumulated, the science changes. There was a time where it was believed (with previous strains) that if you were vaccinated you would be far far less likely to spread it as well as get it.

While the phase 2/3 trials always had the endpoint of hospitalization, death, severe disease combo (the 90 plus % number that gave) this was what he probably inferred from preliminary data that he was referencing, much less likely to get it as well as spread it, which was absolutely true before delta.

If this was a recent sound bite, he should have been more clear bc you know the anti democrat, anti science, anti vaccine, crowd will put their talons into anything to push the incompetent, too old narrative to make sure he isn’t re-elected.

The people that don’t get vaccines or worse get it and then boost the anti vac crowd with messages of fear, uncertainty and doubt for whatever evil motivation and purpose they have is disgusting.

Because if are pushing the public not to get vaccinated you are certainly evil or severely misguided. Absolutely there will always individual case by case exceptions.

I’m not a joe Biden fan, don’t think he should run again, will always wonder though if Trump didn’t try to steal the election and the repubs won Georgia and consequently the senate majority, if he would have been more of a moderate, centrist politician like he ran on. Too bad there are too many politicians too far left and too far right that represent us. Vaccines are centrist where the majority agree it’s a good thing.

back to the subject matter, this is a whole lot of nothing here. It’s not like he was trying to steal an election or tell people to inject bleach…

no it makes it appear completely out of context, which it did. its like any clip on the news or scummy political ad.

my god did you strip trump of every single sentence he ever said? no need to answer i already know it

Just to repeat my position:

- The vaccines help prevent getting the virus or seriousness of symptoms.
- We should not have mandates.
- The decision to get vaccinated should be based on the patients conversation with their physician.
- We should be focusing messaging and efforts equally, if not more, on reducing risks (comorbidities) and early treatment.

This is the true centrist position and for the most part where I have been all along as well.

Talk about gaslighting. Trump tried to steal the election? How exactly? Did he violate election laws all the swing states or did democrats? It was just announced in GA that they are initiating an investigation into 10’s of thousands (Potentially up to 80k) of illegally harvested ballots. I’m pretty sure Trump lost by a little more that 11k. In AZ An independent canvas of the 2020 election in Maricopa County found over 260,000 “lost” and “ghost” votes. In Wisconsin “ It seems clear that voters abandoned the rules for voting indefinitely confined, drop boxes were used, at least one ballot harvesting event was conducted without statutory authorization,’ and ‘voter rolls were not accurately maintained as required by state and federal law,’ a Wisconsin law firm revealed. And you’re still trying to push the lie that Trump told people to inject bleach.

I agree with all but the first point. The efficacy is still a big question mark in addition to their safety.

The Pantazatos-Seligmann study (which can be viewed here) found:

• Between 146K to 187K vaccine-associated U.S. deaths between February and August, 2021.

Any other drug world be removed from use with even a few dozen deaths yet they are still pushing these drugs

He didnt try and steal the election?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

So your evidence that he tried to steal the election is what? You nervously laughing? He tried to point out that the election was stolen from him. That there is evidence of.

So much evidence that he went 1 for 63 in court. Sounds like compelling evidence.

Another false claim. Just like he suggested injecting bleach. There were only 3 cases filed by his legal team and none of the judges granted an evidentiary hearing basing their declination on timing or standing. They all just played hot potato. The supreme court bailed on it saying it was too late and they didn't know if there would be a remedy so they punted. Next...

Just because it is not coming from the bureaucrat politician Lord Faucci or the CDC doesn't mean a study is not valid. This is not the only study that has similar results. I can dig it up but what's the point. Some only want to be lead by the government and told what to believe. You believe the propaganda, I'll find the truth.

You are speaking to the wrong person. Fauci is a career government bureaucrat who changes his opinion more often then I change my underwear (which is often!). But this study is just not credible.

Hospitalizations at a record rate in this pandemic for kids under 5. When it comes to kids, all mitigation efforts have to be applied. Will the adults act before its too late? A new stage of the pandemic?

Headline and Lede and you posting this is fearmongering. Read the actual story.

At a briefing, Walensky said the numbers include children hospitalized because of COVID-19 and those admitted for other reasons but found to be infected.

The CDC also said the surge could be partially attributable to how COVID-19 hospitalizations in this age group are defined: a positive virus test within 14 days of hospitalization for any reason.

The severity of illness among children during the omicron wave seems lower than it was with the delta variant, said Seattle Children’s Hospital critical care chief Dr. John McGuire.

“Most of the COVID+ kids in the hospital are actually not here for COVID-19 disease,” McGuire said in an email. “They are here for other issues but happen to have tested positive.”

You just don't get it. I guess you don't appreciate our doctors, either.

I don’t get what? That kids aren’t going to the hospital BECAUSE of covid despite what you and the misleading stories want to push as the narrative? So literally has nothing to do with any of the issues with staffing, being overworked, etc. go away

Loved Willard's comments on covid after today's game on the radio. He has the common sense approach that, unfortunately, many in our country lack.

"This is a virus that you can't hide from. I don't care if you have 30 shots, 70 masks."
"I think they're spraying it in the water or something because everybody I know has it." 🤣 🤣
"I'm going to go have a nice dinner tonight."
"You're not hiding from this thing. It ain't happening. If we get hit with another covid outbreak, I could be as cautious as possible and it's still going to hit."
"I want my players to live life and have fun and enjoy this college experience."

Said 7 players and the whole staff has had it (including himself twice). His tone overall was you can't avoid it and you just need to live your life and deal with it if you get it. Talked about how last year was miserable because of all the restrictions. I completely agree.

Oh look more evidence numbers are being manipulated.

The entire narrative is collapsing. Vaccines don't prevent infection so that means mandates are useless. People are now realizing what many of us have been saying for two years: hospitalizations WITH covid are far different from hospitalizations BECAUSE of covid.

This new wave will rise and fall quickly and I think the US will pivot away from covid come Spring. There will still be some extreme leftist covidians who cling to the religion, but the politicians and most of America will want to move on.

You said the United States would pivot away from covid in spring of 2021...

I think a certain poster will be writing a letter to Dr. Nye from his basement bunker this morning…..

People are now realizing what many of us have been saying for two years: hospitalizations WITH covid are far different from hospitalizations BECAUSE of covid.

But the circumstances are different now because this variant is so contagious (which is a good thing)

The vaccines were more effective at preventing infection, and the hospitalizations were primarily people admitted because of Covid.

I think a certain poster will be writing a letter to Dr. Nye from his basement bunker this morning…..

I'm assuming this was directed at me?

Yes me and my buddies have been in open communication with the appropriate people. We agree with the universities stance on going virtual until the end of this month. My doctor friend is expecting another "big time variant" this spring. The university should adjust accordingly.

You said the United States would pivot away from covid in spring of 2021...
We are pivoting away- everywhere I go - restaurants, arenas, movie theaters, stores, airports are all full. Hopefully one day you will join us.
