Simple path

3-1 safely in the field of 64 prob a 10 seed
2-1 Dayton
1 win Toast

This seems to be the consensus amongst all non brain dead bracketologists. I didn't realize we have lost 8 straight to Nova, that is bad. I was aware of our away record vs them but thought we won a few at home. Key to beating Nova is to get SOMETHING out of WUSU he has been beyond bad. Teams are sagging off the 3 line in the paint on him. How can we get him back on track? Anyone know a good sports pyschologist?

Dayton 11 seed or regular 10 seed?

Had this debate on our Seton Hall Group chat, would you all rather an 11 seed in Dayton with a next game vs the 6 seed in Brooklyn

OR

Straight 10 seed out west (Salt Lake, Omaha, Spokane)

I would probably vote for the 11 and then Brooklyn, get a warm up game and then play almost home game vs a cold 6 seed who's been off almost a week most likely

Curious on others thoughts?

Player Development

Kadary is a more dominant player this year.

Dre may be the most improved and most consistent player in the conference this year.

Bediako is having his best season by far this year.

Dawes has played a more complete game this year (especially his mid-range shooting).

You hope that a player can make incremental improvements each year, but the first three have made significant gains

Who ya got

This is a difficult one for me because it comes down to my head vs my heart.

Nova is playing their best ball of the year while the Pirates just got destroyed in back to back road losses. That and Nova plays the kind of ball that the Pirates do not handle well.

The fact that the game is home helps, but who knows how many students will show with Spring Break and the bad weather (rain) being a factor?

The key to me is not getting off to a bad start. Do that and the Wildcats will carve up the Hall as we will lose focus and deviate from the game plan.

My heart says Seton Hall. My head says Nova. I'm going with my head and that pains me.

Prove me wrong guys!!!

Merch

Beating a dead horse here but why is there still no way to purchase seton hall gear with the script logo. Shaheen wears these quarter zips every game and they are not sold by the univeristy or anywhere else.

Feels like we are missing a ton of merch revenue here by a simple script "Seton Hall" or "The Hall" on a quarterzip/polo. Any chance this will ever get figured out?

BET matchups

We clinched 4th, and it doesn't seem as though getting to third is likely - mostly Marquette losing to Xavier.

The win last night was big because it helped avoid a re-match with Nova in a week
St. John's has Georgetown, and seem like the likeliest to nab 5th. Nova has Creighton and PC has Uconn.

Pitino really fired up his team with that diatribe he went on after losing to us at UBS. Will St. John's fans grab up tickets? That session, which also has UConn's first game, is extremely inflated (thanks, Fairfield County crew) on the resale market.

Seton Hall Basketball Predictions Update Mar 7, 2024

After beating Villanova 66-56 yesterday, Seton Hall is now projected to finish the regular season 20-11 (13-7 Big East).
The odds that the Pirates make the NCAA tournament are up to 95%, an increase of 14% since yesterday.
We currently rank Seton Hall as the #58 team in the country, and the #8 team in the Big East.
Next game: Sat, Mar 9 vs. #294 DePaul. Our power ratings give the Pirates a 97% chance to win.

Senior Night

I wish to thank Kadary,Al,Dre and Jaden for making this year a memorable one in Pirate history. The pundits never took them seriously and based the ninth place finish on statistics. What those experts failed to see was the giant hearts of these four men. Through a roller coast year they always found the guts to time and time again overperform the preseason predictions. I wish to thank them for their lunch pail hardnosed dedication to rising above everyone's expectations. They have made us proud, and I tip my hat to them. May their futures be filled with all of the blessings they so richly deserve.
