Hospitalizations are not rising in Israel. They are in fact declining and mostly from the 60+ age group which received the vaccine first. I mentioned I would be keeping an eye on Israel here a week ago to see how effective the vaccine is. There are early signs that it is quite effective.
Also - This line - "“The doubling rate is every 10 days, so that’s very concerning — extremely concerning,”
Obviously you want that to be higher but the doubling rate for Covid when it first hit us was WELL below 10 days. Closer to 2-3.
As I have always said. If you want to understand the trend in the US, keep an eye on 2 things. The positivity rate, and change in hospitalizations. If we start to see an increase in the positivity rate, that is a bad sign. If that extends to an increase in new hospitalizations, that is a worse sign.
Everything else is noise.
