25% of Americans will not take COVID Vaccine

Dr. Martin Kulldorff
Dr. Michael Levitt
Dr. Jay Bhattacharya

Bhattacharya is one of the people that published that early flawed seroprevalence study which was funded by the founder of JetBlue which they had hidden. That study suggested an IFR rate that is not even possible anymore as it would be too even if the entire country had Covid by now.

Levitt concluded that infections would stop by August 2020.

They just happen to have a position on lockdowns that you agree with.

You told me previously this was over and there would be no resurgence in the fall. Are you now back tracking to leave that possibility open?

I don't expect a resurgence but of course it is a possibility. A higher rate of vaccination lowers the chance it happens.

Ok your tune is different now. Got it. You said this was over. Clearly its not. You were wrong. Just admit it.

It's not an opinion, it's from polling and vaccination rates, keep deflecting haha. Additionally, those states with the lowest vaccination rates also have the highest obesity rates. Obesity is a measure of being unhealthy.
Not deflecting; you’re not answering the question. Show me a statistic that reflects the difference in obesity by political party.

https://www.cdc.gov/pcd/issues/2019/18_0579.htm

CDC calls BS on your theory, in obesity by race:
- Black 38.4%
- Hispanic 34.6%
- White 28.6%
And the graphic by state shows how black obesity skews Southern states. You may want to rethink letting cable MSM infect your views...

Tough day for you 85. Here is a study from Georgetown that is hot off the press with unvaccinated clusters based on counties.

'While the clusters do encompass some sizable cities, 92% of the counties in the clusters have a population of less than 100,000."

Sure, but what’s the population of the cities in the clusters?

What does that prove? The charts show blacks and whites are fatter in the south, where vaccination rates are lowest.

Are you suggesting the vaccination rates and polling on who plans to get the shot are simply made up?

What media are you relying on for your information? Both left wing and right wimg media are in agreement on these simple facts.

You're in a pretzel and like to argue despite being wrong.

This is CDC data…are you not familiar with what they do? CDC is not a cable network.

The maps are self explanatory and show obesity in blacks skew the numbers. Do you need help interpreting?

Sure, but what’s the population of the cities in the clusters?

Do you actually present data or just talk out of your ass constantly?

Why dont you find out the 8% of places over 100,000 and report back go us.

Yeah, let's blame the black population for the statewide obesity rates. You're hopeless.

I also have to chuckle that you're referencing the CDC that you then trash their data related to vaccine adverse effects. 😂

You’re missing something. Yes, there is a higher prevalence of obesity among black people. However, if you compare counties with similar demographics and the only difference is political affiliation, there is a higher prevalence of obesity for conservatives areas.

Here's a study on that topic.

"After controlling for poverty rate, percent African American and Latino populations, educational attainment, and spatial autocorrelation in the error term, we found that higher county-level obesity prevalence rates were associated with higher levels of support for the 2012 Republican Party presidential candidate."

I am reporting statistics. Not some correlation between polls and a theory. Facts are facts. You brought up obesity and I responded with data. If you don’t like them that’s not my problem.

i’ve never trashed the CDC, so I have no idea what you’re talking about.

What's is the theory you keep referencing?

You seem to think real vaccination rates, a statistic, are a theory.

Haha, fox seems to disagree with you per their article from today. 😂 Sorry, theres nothing blind partisan about vaccination rates.

"States that tend to vote Republican have reported lower vaccination rates, and polls show Republican voters are far more likely than Democrats to say they will not or likely will not get the vaccine."

Socioeconomics. Nothing more to see.

After controlling for poverty rate, percent African American and Latino populations, educational attainment,

The article does not define what method of control was used to eliminate the four other variables.

Two UCLA professors with a anti-republican hypothesis. Hmmmmm.

Sorry. You're wrong again (does it suck?). Arkansas (16.7% black), Oklahoma (9.2% black) , Iowa (5.2% black) and West Virginia (4.8% black) are some of the most obese states (in the dark red category on your CDC map) and yet they dont even crack the top 10 for black population by percentage.

Alabama (27% black), Mississippi (39% black) and Louisiana (33% hlack) do are also dark red on the map and do fall within the top 10 of black populations.

So, 4 of 7 the most obese states in the country dont even have top 10 black populations yet you claim their skewing the most obese states, where vaccination rates are also piss poor.

Chew on that.

Math is not your strong suit. Blacks do skew it to varying degrees. If they were fewer or no black people in those states the numbers would be lower. It’s called multiplication.

We can agree the numbers clearly point out that blacks have higher obesity rates. But 5% of a state isnt skewing an already obese 95%. Those states have the unhealthiest white populations, so without accounting for the black population they're still the most obese.

I've traveled all over the country for work. I love the southern people, they're very kind and generous, but they're not healthy.

The south in general is unhealthier than other parts of the country. It’s a lot to do with historical diet. But the fact is blacks in those states are more obese by significant numbers (percentages), which skews the numbers higher. They also skew the numbers in other states as well. It’s simple math.

Sure that looks to be true. It's also true those states have the most obese white populations per your chart. In general those states are just unhealthy populations.

Wow.

Perhaps the most absurd post I've ever seen on this board.

Do you seriously believe that your observations in the time you have spent traveling in the south is enough to conclude that southern people are not healthy??

No, it doesn’t “look to be true”…it is true. But the facts show that the black population is 1000 basis points higher than the white population nationally in terms of obesity.

And this should be a wake up call for all Americans. If you want to reduce your risk of hospitalization or death from COVID or most diseases, eat right and be fit.

If you love them, maybe you shouldn't insult and demean them for making a personal choice not to take the vaccine. It's not good to judge people. Nobody who loves me would insult me for not doing something. They might disagree, which is fine.

No, I believe it based on the stats lol. But yes my personal experience would agree with those stats.

Okay, and you're arguing semantics by only focusing on the black population, which is minority. The majority, white, is the unhealthiest in those states as well. Can you at least admit this?

That's fine, they dont have to take the vaccine. When their loved ones are on ventilators and dying they'll wish they took the needle. It's happening in these places already, in the dead heat of summer, winter will be bad for those places.

It’s not semantics; it’s factual statistics. And I already stated that Southern states have high obesity rates for all because of historical diet decisions. The data shows the much higher rates of non-whites (blacks and Hispanic) skew the data and make it worse.

Quite dramatic, this isn't Ebola. For most, that won't be the case as most people don't need hospital treatment for corona and if you're vulnerable, you have the option to take the vaccine.

Not dramatic at all. Missouri is dealing with it now. Those are peoples friends and family. I'm sure they wish they got the scary shot when they're on a vent.

Fact: There is a strong correlation between low vaccination rates and counties and states that voted for Trump in 2020 election. Not debatable.

Fact: In general, Southern states voted more for Trump than Biden.

Fact: There is more obesity in southern states then elsewhere.

Fact: Obesity is considered unhealthy and like many other comorbitities can make COVID-19 infection outcomes worse

Fact: The % of Obese people in southern states by demographics like race is higher among black and Latino and lower with white and Asian. (This is for a side topic from Hall85 trying to muddy the water).

Fact: Black and Latinos less likely to vote Trump.

Fact: There are much more white people obese by total number than black people sooo there are much more unvaccinated obsese Trump voters in southern states where if Hall85 is correct, will negatively affect overall health when more spread happens in pockets down there.

Fact: Both Republicans and Democrat politicians made the pandemic, vaccines, masks a political thing to strenthen their base to the detriment of the health of its citizens. Republican politicians were much much worse offenders of it though.

Fact: Hall85 can’t admit when he is wrong in so many of these threads.

Fact: Less wealthy, less educated people are not getting vaccinated. Perhaps those people voted for Trump (many did, for sure)

Opinion: They are not getting vaccinated because of Trump politics or other politics.

If I’m wrong then the reverse must also be true: Those who think the government can require vax plus those who are pressuring people to get the vax are doing so for political reasons.

@kniespolice Never forget. Kamala said she would never take a vaccine Trump approved of. Then she went ahead and took the vaccine a few months later. If Trump won, would have Kamala not taken the vaccine?

I never have discussed Kamala. Shes got her job do to her skin color. Shes irrelevant.

Step outside the house and get some fresh air.

I would normally say your opinion has legs but historically the antivaxer folks and less vaccinated were more with (largely) democratic groups like blacks, Hispanics, hipsters, and poor.

With this election it shifted dramatically where more repub groups are less vaccinated while those other largely dem groups mentioned above, are more vaccinated than normal.

it’s connected to politics.

Missouri reported 1,597 positive tests yesterday. It's population is 6.1 million.

Like I said, most will not need vents or even hospitalization. Most people who get this virus recover without treatment.

While much of what you said in that post was factual, the last sentence of this point is not. That is your opinion.

My opinion is that Democratic politicians turned the citizenry against each one another throughout 2020 through divisive policies. Lockdowns were never necessary and caused more harm than good - emotional, financial and physical well-being was significantly hurt by this policy. Then you have the case of mandatory masking. Mask wearing should have always been optional and at the discretion of businesses/individuals. I don't care if someone wears a mask, that is their right. If it makes them feel comfortable, so be it. It should not have been forced on everyone and that is why people became angry and fought against the policy. It was classic government overreach.
