Biden Mandate

I’m for mandating any/all vax (with reasonable opt outs)

once we have had decades of research re same vax such as those that are currently “mandated”
at what point were all those vaccines mandated? are you sure it was after decades of research after its release?

Have any of the other vaccines been politicized? Have we ever had a vaccine where a VP on the ticket said not to take a vaccine just because the current president says to?

What is strange about my view? I happen to believe that mRNA vaccines are a huge achievement that will ultimately change medicine forever. I believe they have been proven to just as safe and more effective that traditional vaccines.

If Covid were more deadly, I would have no issue at all with a mandate. I don’t believe we need a mandate for Covid.

mRNA vaccines have a far greater side effect and adverse event profile than traditional vaccines. It's not even close.

But, but, but, bbbb that’s not what she said….or what she really meant…..I wanted to preemptively cut-off someone trying to explain that fraud away instead of just accepting she is and getting back to the legitimate COVID discussion.

This would be an awesome precedent that could lead to insurance companies not paying for people who choose to smoke, diabetics who eat candy, etc, Awesome idea.
I generally think those that don’t take care of themselves should pay more for health insurance.

As for as the covid treatment in hospitals for unvaccinated. Yes they should be charged at this point 100% unless they have health reasons why they couldn’t get vaccine.

Not really. We were just vaccinating a ton of people very quickly. You need a controlled study to look at this, not self reporting in a hyper politically sensitive environment.

Yes, really. Just look at the facts. How many people feel like they're going to die after a flu or tetanus shot? Hardly any. Not the case with these "vaccines."

Again, you need controlled studies here. You can’t compare this to tetanus because we don’t give out 300+ million shots of a tetanus vaccine per year. If a hundred million people got a tetanus shot in the span of a few months, the reporting of side effects would likely not be much different than what we are seeing today.

Part of this is driven by politics and fear mongering as well. Did you know that VAERS saw a 70% spike in reporting of adverse reactions from the MMR vaccine after that paper was published in the 90’s claiming the vaccine causes autism (which has subsequently been retracted)

Do you think the risks from the vaccine changed? Or did the media reporting at the time cause people to be hyper sensitive about any reactions?

Sorry. Self reported data is not scientific and should not be judged as such.

Hyper political, indeed. Thank goodness Trump didn’t fast track a vax or propose shutting down borders.

I am amazed at the passion back and forth for thousands of posts that will never change one’s mind. I mean, merge & shu09 aren’t gonna suddenly come to some agreement. Passes a little time though.

Time to wash my truck and do a little yard work.

Right. That's my point. It has been hyper political. Had Trump won there would be many liberals who would be fear mongering about the vaccine and wrongly citing the VAERS database as scientific. It's not hyper political from one side.

I don't think we will get to an agreement. It may not be worth the effort, but I hope at some point he will at least see that whoever he is following that keeps him in the conspiracy bubble on this issue is misleading him.

And don’t forget the media would be saying don’t get it too. I’m curious between the history of funded studies designed to come to certain “scientific” conclusions, independent research that isn’t independent, and a media that is not down the middle fair, what do you use to determine down the middle, trustworthy, cold, hard facts. I would argue there’s a lot more reason not to believe what we’re told by our leaders than to believe.

I think there is no question that if Trump was President right now the media would be signing a very different tune when it comes to mandatory vaccination.

Without a doubt. Though I would still be saying we don’t need a mandate but probably a few here who are opposed would likely be supporting it...

yea. it was a question not an answer. you just said so yourself.
But why lie that you didn’t read it. You had to read it to know it was not an answer. You didn’t just click reply to something you didn’t read. Imagine if I said I didn’t read your response that I’m replying to. Just silly.

Irony is ironic…

I believed in one conspiracy theory here, but acknowledged that it was one. Explained why I believed it, and was open to being proven wrong. Was proven to be correct on a few points, and wrong on others.

One thing I’m certain of though, if I was posting some of the stuff 09 has posted here, you would be calling me a lunatic.

Mandates in the medical world are just crazy. Each person has a different set of circumstances and to be a leader and not understand that whether you're Trump or Biden is a sign of poor leadership.

Politicians are the last people that should be mandating anything.

I generally agree.
However, Trump did what he did; facts are facts when it comes to him assisting with development of vax and telling people to get same. What did Dems say during that time? If I recall they stood behind our President in a time of crisis.
