Wake Forest lost at Virginia Tech by 11. That's very good.
Virginia lost by 25 at Duke. Scored 48 points. Fourth time scoring in the 40's in the last five games. How on earth is this an NCAA Tournament team??

Wake loses at home to 13-16 Georgia Tech. Their third straight loss to bad teams. That should just about pop their bubble.
Gotta beat DePaul as well. Can’t forget that! We need a win on Wednesday AND Saturday! Crap the bed with either and we are screwed.Ole Miss also lost again, along with Kansas State, Syracuse, and Cincinnati. A couple of those are fringe at best but still good results. Bottom line: Seton Hall is in with a win tomorrow night. It's that simple.
Depaul is the worst Big East team I've ever seen. Worse than the winless Gtwon team. Worse than early Miami, for those who were fans back then. St. John's dropped 104 points on them tonight, and at one point was up like 50 points in the game. Pitino played his bench guys more than his starters.Gotta beat DePaul as well. Can’t forget that! Non-bubble related, but on the topic of the Big East, I couldn’t sleep last night and caught Cooley’s press conference yesterday after the second Prov/Gtown game. It was basically a recruiting pitch for Devin Carter. Found it amusing in this day of free agency we live in.DePaul is a sure thing. The worst team in the history of the Big East. Seton Hall actually could just "show up" and win that one.

I’d love to see them beat Rutgers at any point.Does depaul beat early big east miami?
This hurts nova and providenceKansas State may have given themselves new life by upsetting number six Iowa State. Still probably have to win a game or two in their conference tournament.
KSU plays in the best league and no doubt has some really good wins I'm sure (no clue on the resume or metrics), but at 8-10 in league play I have to think they have some work to do.This hurts nova and providence
Certainly have some work to do. But this win leaves the door open. A loss today would’ve pushed them out. Lunardi gives a nice visual of where things stand:
agreed. This was made prior today’s results. Just updated with colors to show win / lossNova at 17-14 being anywhere near being in is sad. I think Lunardi is wrong.
That hasn’t really played out on the court being we’ve swept them. The computer likes SJU over SHU because they are a better team. I know that is not what people want to hear, but if Seton Hall and St. John's played tomorrow on a neutral court St. John's would be favored. If anyone thinks that is incorrect, go ahead and bet against the sportsbooks. See how that works out for you.
Now, that does not mean (nor should it mean) that St. John's had a better season than Seton Hall. Nor does it mean that St. John's deserves to be in the NCAA tournament over Seton Hall. We have a better resume, and have had a better season, than St. Johns.
It amazes me that people are still confused by this.
Because USF has 17 of their 23 wins vs quads 3/4 opponents. They have also suffered two quad 4 losses and yesterday’s set back to Tulsa was a quad 3 loss. Not sure how this is even possible. FAU who came in second in AAC behind USF is projected as a 7 or 8 seed yet they have seton hall as a play in and USF who won the conference as not in at this moment. They are 16-2 in conference. This is everything that is wrong with the metrics and the absolute garbage NET. Throw iT OUT!!!

And if you look at all those resumes, metrics included.Bubble per Wachtel. Four teams will get in out of the 13 in the bubble. Will be interesting who gets left out?
After looking at their team sheets I have a hard time seeing Indiana State and James Madison getting at-large bids. ISU has 22 of 27 wins in Q3 and Q4 while 27 of JMU's 28 wins are Q3 or Q4, 21 of them in Q4.Bubble per Wachtel. Four teams will get in out of the 13 in the bubble. I understand the trouble that good mid-majors can have scheduling but other than Michigan State, JMU didn't even try.
Indiana State did a little more but took blowout losses to Alabama and Michigan State and have a bad loss in league to Illinois State. Plus they would have lost two of three to Drake if they don't win the MVC.
They have 1 impressive win over AZ. They also lost to UNCC and USF head to head. You want to say they’re in ok but a 7 seed? That’s crap.Because USF has 17 of their 23 wins vs quads 3/4 opponents. They have also suffered two quad 4 losses and yesterday’s set back to Tulsa was a quad 3 loss.
