Sure. For example...

Asking Ukraine for dirt on Biden in exchange for foreign aid is an example of Trump doing something that will help him but hurt the country.

Not even a peep about the Russian bounties is something that hurts the country but is not in the interest of Trump because he is afraid of Putin.

Refusing to denounce the qanon conspiracy theory because their supporters love him.

Shared a video of a guy yelling white power while thanking the people there for their support.
weak list that reads like Rachel Maddows talking points at the end of a show. As I’ve been saying, try to attack his substance.

My dad as crazy as it sounds did tell me that not listening to a police officer could cost me my life. I remember the conversation and the look on his face. I also remember being beat up daily on my way home from school by a group of older black neighborhood kids. I was 12 years old, both my parents worked more than one job. I remember my dad telling me he could not be there everyday when I walked home from school, so he taught a young 12 year old Italian kid to protect himself. He setup a punching bag in the basement and in between jobs taught me how to protect myself. He taught me not to be afraid and instead of coming home bleeding everyday to throw the first punch. I fought for everything I have so it’s hard for me to have this conversation with folks who actually grew up in all white neighborhoods carrying guilt for getting everything handed to them. Instead of talking we need to connect the police back to the community and have workshops so all people understand that what they do Is dangerous. Before anyone is allowed to comment on police brutality they should take a 2 hour tour of the Newark jail, sit and have lunch and a cool drink with the inmates to get a better understanding of the problem.
This problem has more to do with education than it does with police. When people wake up and understand we are failing in education, our country will be a better place. School choice And police workshops are solutions instead of doing nothing but talking.

Great post. Also outside of the tri state area many white kids grow up in terrible situations with drug abusing parents, extreme poverty and little education. I agree 100% that the black community must focus on education.

Wow what an insight, a 20 seconds Instagram post. Your problem is you post Twitter and Instagram clips with no substance. What exactly does that accomplish?
Do you know who he is? His on field earnings career? The fact that he grew up in central florida. He is among the most outspoken people for the mental health community.
You can't tell me that if he was white the security guy at the residential community would have also called the cops.

1. Yes I know who Brandon Marshall is
2. What do his on field earnings have to do with this video?
3. What is this video supposed to show?

I know he seems to have reformed his image after some early domestic issues. I like Marshall from what I know.

This video shows at the very least bias from the security guy that he called police because brandon marshall's name was not part of a list. Could he have asked for ID and make a call to the property office verifying information? Yes, but perhaps he felt threatened or intimidated and needed to call police.

I won't pretend to know what the list was needed for, but if that's the protocol that your name has to be on the list than the security officer is just doing his job. Marshall maybe trying to circumvent the process because of who he is, bullying a guy making $12 an hour,

The video is total BS.

Next time post the entire encounter.

I have visited many gated communities and owned property in three. I have been held at the gate for long periods and on a few occasions turned away because of one reason or another relating to not being on an access list. As an example, go try to enter TPC Sawgrass and see how far you get. In general, the higher the property values, the more rigorous the gate is.

I would love to see the video of the entire encounter, from the time he drove up until the time the police ended the confrontation.

What I would be willing to bet is that the early video would show he does not have proper credentials to enter the property. He gets pissed off and proceeds to behave like an a-hole. The gate guard is likely unarmed and the a-hole behavior rises to a level to trigger the their protocol to contact the police to remove the person from the property.

The issue is not racism. It is Black Privilege. "I am black and rich and rules don't apply to me. If you mess with me I will get in your face. I will call you a racist. I will record the encounter and edit it down to play to inflammatory part"

And for kickers, Brand Marshall has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder.

For those not familiar with that, it:

"is a mental illness characterized by a long-term pattern of unstable relationships, distorted sense of self, and strong emotional reactions."

Pretty much explains it.

My sister has it and her anger outbursts are off the charts.

Well done pirata shaming someone who has dealt with ongoing mental health scenarios, way to be

No one is shaming anyone. His mental illness explains (but does not justify) his abhorrent behavior. I have that conversation with my sister once a week.

You're just embarrassed because you got caught not doing your homework. Kinda like ready, fire, aim.

Next time before you post one of your mindless videos, do your diligence.

What exactly is the problem here? This person's name wasn't on some list, so the police were called. Seems ok to me if that's the policy in that area.

They did not call the police because his name wasn't on a list. They called the police because he became agitated and behaved like an a-hole.

When was the last time this happened to a caucasian?

It happens all the time to people of every race, creed and color.

For me (a Caucasian), it was last October.

Colonial Country Club, a gated community in Fort Myers. My host forgot to put us on the list and when we arrived the gate, we had to wait 20 minutes while they attempted and ultimately succeeded in contacting my host. I was asked to pull my car to the side and wait.

Despite being annoyed, I did so politely and then the strangest thing happened. The police were not called.

No you are wrong...i think his feelings of frustration and raised voice is directly tied to the fact that cops were called when in reality that was not needed...

Why did someone feel the need to call the cops? And if the cops are so bad why would anyone call the cops in the first place? Why didn't they call a social worker? Whoever made the call must be the real problem.

This whole situation is about to get uglier as the defense says they have video proof that Rittenhouse acted in self defense.

Me being wrong is your opinion and I don't agree with it.

You want so hard to believe that these gate guards are racist and turned him away because he was black.

If you listen to the video they said that other black people live in the community. The difference is they show up with proper credentials and I suspect are much more polite than he is.

I suspect you have no experience with gated communities. one of the reasons people live in them is because the guards keep people out who do not belong in the community. In order to get access to the community you need to have the proper credentials. It's a similar concept to the United States border for high-rise office building.

I don't agree with your theory that the police did not have to be called. If his agitation and behavior triggered a threshold in the guards protocol then they call the police. It's that simple.

I realize it's supposition but I suspect he was asked numerous times very politely to leave the property and he refused. He likely just could not accept the fact that he wasn't going to be allowed in.

It happened to me in high school when I tried to visit a girl. I wasn't on an approved list, they called her dad and he told them I wasn't allowed in. I am white. I went home upset I didn't get to score lol

So, Jacob Blake broke into a woman's house, digitally penetrated her (sexual assault) said "it smells like you've been with other men, proceeded to wrestle with police, put a cop in a headlock, still be non compliant after being tasered, then decided it was best to walk back to his car. Can anyone say piece of shit?

https://nypost.com/2020/08/28/this-is-why-jacob-blake-had-a-warrant-out-for-his-arrest/
The sexual assault occured months prior, your post paints that it was same day as incident...sexual assault is terrible...blake should be prosecuted to the max penalities allowed by wisconsin law...

I bet if you were stopped for speeding and told to step out of the car and put your hands on the roof of the car you would probably do it. I would listen too that’s the safe thing to do. If everyone understood this simple concept this nonsense would be pretty much eliminated.

And the day he got shot he went back to the place he sexually assaulted the lady.

I was thinking about this.

You are right. This video shows how things can go horribly wrong during arrest and it is a shame those officers were shot. Seems like they did everything in their power to try to bring the man in safely. I think we can all agree about that.

I would love to hear your response or anyone else's in regards to the video NYShoreGuy posted of a black man putting his hands up and still tased and kicked in the back. That officer could have broken his spine. Everyone keeps saying comply and you will be fine what is your explanation to this video. The man was accused of having a warrant and after all that the police realized they had the wrong person. The person did not have a warrant and had no prior arrests. How do you explain that incident to your children when teaching them how to interact with the police?

We can parse each one of these stories but it becomes a circular discussion. There are several things that come into play in any arrest that requires force.

First of all, when we see these videos, we are only seeing a sliver of what preceded the action. If you know you were walking into a situation with a felon who has a warrant and a weapon, you are certainly going to prepare differently and respond differently if the situation escalates. Most of the time we also don’t see the actions that precipitated the police response. We have a nephew who is an LEO in North Jersey who has been involved in a shooting where the assailant was killed. Totally justified, because the victim had his weapon trained on a family member. He told me have a case several years ago where they responded to a fight at a wedding. He said a female in the wedding party was drunk and as they were trying to separate the parties she bit hard into his forearm. She was only 100 pounds so his response in taking her down was very forceful. If you had the 10 second video of her being taken to the ground I could understand how people might be upset at his actions. The bite marks needed stitches. The video didn’t tell the whole story.

No one is going to dispute there are LEO‘s that do not belong in the profession and should be removed. But there is a stark difference between communities taking responsibility and accountability for that and what is being called is systemic racism issue across 20,000 police departments. It’s a narrative that’s complete BS.

What NYShore leaves out is that the police had the wrong guy. They thought they were arresting a a person with a warrant.

We don't know what the warrant was for and don't have audio.

Sure, If this was a routine stop for a broken taillight or speeding, that would be a different.

I am not sure I agree with the kick in the back, but for once I would like NYShore to give us the entire store, .a.k.a., the whole truth.

I suspect a civil suit will be forthcoming and by the looks of video, seems justified.

All the more reason to have the discussions with your kids.

Easy. Comply with any police command. Comply promptly. Even if you know you did nothing wrong, suck it up, do what ever you are told to do and get it straightened out later.

This video does not show what happened prior to the guy standing there with his arms up.

As Hall85 said, the video is a sliver of what happened.

While I realize the guy did nothing wrong (prior to being stopped) and cops had the wrong guy, I'd love to see the entire encounter.

Two police officers were shot in St Louis last night. One is barely clinging onto life and is not expected to live. I wonder how many pro athletes are going to sit out a few games to support them.
The full story here...an older couple leaves their front door unlocked as they were expecting a friend for dinner...people out there please never leave your doors unlocked...
A transient individual tells the wife he was shot, gunman walks in the front door orders the couple to leave...seems like a tandem setup to me...cops respond to a call that someone was shot and with no cover are sitting ducks in the sidewalk as the gunman shot down from second story...3.5 yr exp for the cop extremely critical, 1 yr exp for the one shot in leg since released....seems like this was a tactical failure.

This is tragic but could have been prevented.
I will say this again, black market guns gotta get off the streets. There is too much gun violence ongoing. I am all for being able to protecting one's self and exercising the 2nd amendment in a responsible way.

feel better now that you trotted out another weak, disingenuous straw man like the one about the 5 year old? If not, I’m sure the pats on the back from the WhatAboutism Gang will help.
