Despite Fauci insisting virus could not have come from the lab a doctor today who is recognized as one of the top doctors on viruses said the lab is a viable source for the virus .Fauci is very concerned because he approved funding of the lab as an exception to the then existing regulations prohibiting funding the type of research being performed.As I and others have said if China has nothing to fear on the release of the virus from the lab being discovered why not release the data.China and maybe Fauci too on a classic CYA mission.

What is derangement about me stating his funding of a lab doing research that had been banned in 2014 by Obama administration may turn out to be the source of the virus.An exception had to be made to continue the funding to this lab after 2014 and he was one of two people who could grant this exception.I am not accusing of him knowing at that time Wuhan lab was doing “ change of function “ research which was outlawed by the US ,but maybe he should have done little more investigation before giving them the exception.Wuhan was set up to do investigation of potential bio weapons and it is in China I think that is enough to raise suspicion on any government official function.I have done some research on this would be curious to hear you research that contradicts mine rather than labeling my comments as derangement.

He has not insisted that this was not released from a lab, he said not likely which I will get to in a minute.
What he said was that this virus does not have the characteristics which would indicate that the virus was made or manipulated by man. That seems to be the general consensus among the scientists who would understand that.
If you go along with the premise that the virus was not made or altered by man, then you assume that the virus was in the wild. Fauci has said if the virus was out in the wild then the lab release theory becomes less likely because logically the virus is highly contagious and if it is out and about then it will be spreading. The likelihood that the virus was identified in a human, isolated and studied in a lab without spreading on its on in the wild becomes less likely.
He hasn't said it absolutely wasn't released from a lab and has said we should investigate the origin as much as we can. Trying to make this be Fauci's fault is just absolutely absurd.

The NIH gave a grant to Ecohealth for research related to diseases that could jump from animals to humans. The grant to Ecohealth was prior to our ban on gain of function research. Ecohealth funded a research project at the Wuhan lab. The NIH reviewed that agreement and approved it because it did not cover gain of function research.

I'm not a Faucci fan nor a fan of ANY of the leaders of the US Healthcare administration. What I have seen in the last few years is that it is all overly politicized and all these folks lose total credibility because they are getting managed by the politicians and the MSM backs up their side and agenda. Faucci had a ton of cover from the MSM because they thought he was being bullied by Trump and he probably was. But now he's just being managed in a different way from the Biden admins. Faucci likes his paycheck and the publicity - that is 100% clear to me. He is just another political hack in the end as are most of these folks. It has always been more than just a possibility. No one really knows. I would not be surprised either way. But the fact that some people are twisting Fauci to represent some sort of conspiracy when Trump was essentially dictating what was coming out to the public in 202 is laughable. This thing is a moving target and as evidence comes in, opinions shift. IT is the nature of when you encounter something very new. You think it is one way, but then evidence comes out that shows it may be another way.
