25% of Americans will not take COVID Vaccine

@Hallsome Hi. I did a simple google search "How to cancel a rivals account". You can do it right through the rivals live chat. I trust you will delete your account within 24 hours of this posting. See also link below that shows how you can cancel your account. Good luck!

Address my other variables first
Also, death rate is what?

I really don't care how you try to frame this around your variables.

Biden was talking about the amount of death.
What we saw in the coming months was fairly unprecedented in any of our lifetimes and you want to nitpick about if that amount of death is "dark" or not.

Just because you don't like his politics, you can't accept that he had empathy for the hundreds of thousands of families that were about to experience those deaths. It's pathetic honestly.

@Hallsome Have you reviewed this link? Please let me know if you have any further questions. You will be deleting your account by tomorrow. Correct?

One follow up: Why have you been always been obsessed with me and @Merge ?

It’s not pathetic. My direct family dealt with two deaths. Yours? It was a scare tactic to say it was going to be a dark winter. I said it then, I’ll say it now. It’s the same scare factor crap they spew now. It was NOT a dark winter because since the fall they figured out ways to combat it.

Wonder why you don’t want to address variables.

maybe now you want to compare USA to Europe?

534,000+ covid deaths. We never thought it was going to get to this.

@Merge Unfortunately it appears my prediction will be correct. Analysts are expecting NJ's hospitalizations to increase by the end of this week. It looks like we will see a variant surge as expected.

Kurt mentioned this was the first time hospitalizations have increased on a Monday since mid January. @Merge This is concerning! It looks like what I have been saying for the last few weeks is starting to happen.

Again, so far, new hospitalizations are not really increasing.

The current hospitalization number is up because discharges and deaths are down. That means the majority of those currently hospitalized are longer stays.

Essentially + 400 new - 500 discharged is not better than +200 new and -100 discharged. The first would make it seem like things are improving better than the 2nd, but that is obviously not the case.

@Hallsome Hi. Have you deleted your profile?
No. Didn’t get thrown out either. Will stick around because I enjoy the recruiting news. I don’t enjoy some of the negativity from posters when we lose although I share frustration. Why are you so obsessed with my status? You can block or ignore me. Oh, and, hi.

As this article states, it a race against time. America is possibly looking at a 4th surge as stated in this article. The white house is preparing for a 4th surge now. I predicted this week's ago but posters such as @Merge said this wouldn't happen. We need to more shots in arms at a fast speed. It appears the white house is trying to make a quick effort. There are internal conversations in the CDC/white house that we could be looking at potential shut downs similar to what Italy is doing that. I hope to God that does not happen.

Positivity rate and change in hospitalizations.

Only metrics that matter for looking at the spread. Both still look good.

Almost all of the statistics are heading in the right direction. The only problem I foresee is that vaccination rates in minority neighborhoods are still very low. And unfortunately that’s where most of your comorbidity issues are routed. We could continue to see hospitalizations and fatalities because of this.

I'm really sure where you are getting your information from. But you have to agree this is not the right direction.

You still think we are going in the correct direction? Case up 11% from a week ago and 17% up from a month ago.

@Merge Honestly I have been telling you this for weeks and Ms Judy confirmed this today. We needed to get our RT low enough to prevent this mid March spike. But unfortunately that didn't happen. Looks like the experts were correct about a mid March spike. Ms Judy expects rt to increase over the next few days and hospitalizations to continue to spike in the short term too.

@Merge Bad news. Unfortunately Europe missed its chance of preventing this new surge. Unfortunately the US appears like it will be next. Didn't I predict this week's ago?

A lot of posters have become quiet on this based on the Covid nj numbers the last few days! It appears I will be right again!

Most posters probably couldn't care less about the new numbers. We've had enough and are over it.

Busiest week of the year for me, so not really digging into the data like I normally do.

But no, nothing has changed my outlook much.
Cases are still a little high, but 20% of the state has been vaccinated and new hospitalizations are fairly low. Murphy just eased up on certain restrictions in the state like indoor dining up to 50% now.
Path we are on is pretty clear.

Murphy did mention today he will quickly put restrictions back as he's watching hospitalizations like a hawk.

@Merge Dr Fauci stated yesterday its very possible the US can implement "Europe like shutdowns" if states in the Northeast continue to see worrying trends. You are not concerned yet?

Hospitalizations and cases up again in NJ! But per @Merge we are still fine. Ms Judy says she expects hospitalizations and rt to go up the next few days.

1st 20 days - new admissions
Jan- 7,681
Feb - 2,581
Mar - 2,067

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We've vaccinated about 35% of the adult population in NJ. That should hit about 60% by the end of April.

So you accept this new normal for good? Got it!

No, he isn't saying that and consistently hasn't said that since the beginning of this. Like many of us, he feels that "normal" should basically be "normal", meaning we need to move on with our lives and society as a whole, with only the absolute minimum COVD-restrictions in place that are necessary to protect the most vulnerable or most dangerous potential situations. That means schools, open. That means businesses open, with people that are most vulnerable taking common sense precautions on their own and people that are risk adverse or fearful choosing what they want to do. A business or entity wants to make folks wear masks inside, sure that is their right and people can choose whether or not they want to go. Someone is fearful about going to a bar or restaurant -- fine, they don't go. But if my wife and I want to go to dinner or to a bar, we do. If I want to go to a game, I can. And my kids are in school for a full normal day.

Ok simple question. Did you vote for Governor Murphy?

I’m no fan of Murphy. I haven’t been a fan of our Governor since early Christie. I would have much preferred Sweeney to Murphy but the powers that be wouldn’t let that happen.

Hm. You didn't directly answer my question? Did you vote for Murphy? If so, you shouldn't have anything to complain about. You voted for this.
