25% of Americans will not take COVID Vaccine

Hm. You didn't directly answer my question? Did you vote for Murphy? If so, you shouldn't have anything to complain about. You voted for this.

Actually, I didn’t vote for this. And I think how it’s been handled by and large has been despicable on several fronts.

Still deflecting the question so I'm assuming yes you voted for him. How can you say you didn't vote for this?

No I didn’t vote for him. Thought that was clear. And frankly even people who did vote for him didn’t vote for this.

These spring breakers will be another cause for a huge covid outbreak. Not good. Not good at all.

That's what they said last year and it never happened. More fear-mongering.

You are incorrect. They were a super spreader last year. And the city of Miami has declared a state of emergency this year as a result of spring break parties. What a mess. Even with the vaccines. This virus will still affect our lives for years to come because of super spreader events.

Posters such as @Merge and @shu09 told me cases would continue to decline. Experts said the opposite. The experts are right again. Cases up 11% week over week in the garden state. This pandemic ain't over yet folks! @Merge I expected labor day will be the last day you are posting on this board.

Can't wait until November to vote this chump out. He actually makes me miss Chris Christie and that's hard to do. Sadly, the sheep who populate NJ will re-elect him.

I don’t care if a corpse runs against him this time. He ain’t getting my vote.

The great governor has announced the June primaries will be primarily in person. Why couldn't we do this last November?

The difference in June 2021 vs November 2020 is that everyone who votes will have had a chance to be vaccinated by June vs none of us having been vaccinated by last November.

Had he said it will be mail in, you guys would have killed him for that.

Given the significant spread In November through January all over the country - Can't it be that mail in was the right call then, and it is also the right call to do in person voting once everyone has had a chance to be vaccinated?

@Merge The Garden State now leads the country in positive cases. You told me there wouldn't be another surge. Please look at the case numbers over the weekend. Over 400 positive cases in monmouth county alone. You still believe we are in the clear?

The governor stated we are in a "race for our lives" when looking at the race of the vaccinations vs surge in cases.

New cases up 24% compared to last month.

Never said we are in the clear from new infections.

I said this will essentially be over by June because of how effective the vaccine is and the rate which we are vaccinating people.

I said I was keeping an eye on Israel to see how things would play out there to have an understanding of what to expect here as we reach higher levels of vaccination.

So far, it is pretty much exactly what you would want to see but it is not a straight line down. There are blips along the way and we are experiencing that now.

This is far from a surge. More hysteria from our resident alarmist.

@Merge Kurt has been a voice of reason during this very difficult period and he brings up valid questions. Why are the NJ hospitalizations up past 2,000 again? You told me we would not see a rise in hospitalizations again. We are now past 2k. As Kurt asks who are these people. Is it because of the variants? Are the vaccines not working the way they thought they would? Many questions!

@Merge Why silent on nj passing the 2k hospitalization mark again? You told me we would not see another hospitalization surge, correct?

Like I said. Busiest time of the year for me right now. Just not going to dig into the data like I normally would.

Look at the link I posted for Israel though. Would you call Jan 25th to Feb 1st a surge with a 22% increase? That's what you're doing.

There will be blips, but March is still down in new hospitalizations compared to February.
Fwiw, I agree with Kurt. We should have an understanding of who is being hospitalized and if they have been vaccinated.

We will have vaccinated more than 50% of the state by the end of next month though. Almost over.

This author disagrees with you. We will be in this pandemic for a few years because people might not be as diligent to get the vaccine booster. We will be in this pandemic until at least 2023.

@Merge @shu09 NJ doctors and experts are getting worried that what's happening is Europe will eventually happen in NJ in the coming weeks. Meaning a spike in cases/hospitalizations and shutdowns. Per the article nj hospitals are preparing for a third surge. I predicted this week's ago and no one on this board wanted to listen. Unfortunately it appears I will be right again.

I'm done with the rona. There will be no more shutdowns in the US.

The latest from Kurt. Very disturbing to see hospitalizations to be going up again. I thought the vaccine would prevent us from going above 2k hospitalizations again. No matter what you think, these numbers are not good. I warned you all!

Warned us of exactly what?

more cases?
higher death rate?
government interferences and improper regs?
irrational governmental reactions as a power trip?
using bad words get one thrown off the board (jk)?

been reading your posts for a year and still don’t know point(s) you’re trying to make.

by contrast merge and 09, who often post on the topic, while typically having opposing viewpoints, are crystal clear

How is this not clear? I was told by merge and 09 there won't be a March surge. There now is and this is just the beginning. Ms Judy was warning about this since February. Murphy warned that "Europe Like" shutdowns could occur if the numbers keep going up.

As I reflect now it has been a very, very hard year sheltering in place for a year+ now. But I seriously think its the best decision I could make based on the health conditions of people I live with. I can't believe I haven't been outside for a year now. I also do not know when I will be going out again.

I have also decided not to take the vaccine. I just fully don't trust it yet.

The efficacy rates say otherwise

I'm still worried about what long term problems this vaccine can cause such as high blood pressure/heart issues
I have seen a pcp and a cardiologist with my upcoming health event, both have said at very least get the J and J

Good luck! I know I'm not taking the vaccine. Its a personal choice and we have to make the best decision for ourselves.

J&J is probably the safer bet. If I decide to get it, that's what I'll get. Not going anywhere near Pfizer and especially Moderna. Don't trust that company at all.

@Merge The Garden State has reported over 4,000 new cases today and hospitalizations are up the 4th straight day. Murphy also confirmed hospitals are preparing for a new wave. I noted this a couple days ago. You told me this wasn't going to happen. I have been predicting this for weeks. Are you happy with these numbers? You still think the garden state is making progress?
