25% of Americans will not take COVID Vaccine

Just like the Super Bowl was going to be a superspreader, right?

I never thought and never said the super bowl would be a super spreader. But if you have the post by me please share. I would be happy to review it. This March variant surge is real and only a matter of time. We can be optimistic about where we are now and fearful where we are heading.

But again it is ok if you don't want to listen to me.

You still just don't get it. As one expert said weeks ago, 'This is the calm before the storm". This was expected. As well as what is about to come in the next several weeks.

What you are missing is how effective the vaccine is. Even against other strains.

You must have not read the LA Times article? You must not get it either. Its only a matter of time before a variant is able to beat the vaccine.

All the "experts" said it would be. Even the mayor of Tampa was out there the next day shaming people.

Ok? Well I disagreed with the Mayor then. I don't think the experts predicted that by the way.

That's just a guess at this point, but the first place that would show up?
Positivity rate. Then new hospitalizations.

Time to work on a new shtick. This one is almost over.

Oh yes they did. You just don't hear about it now because the complicit media won't do a follow up.

Ok. Please send me the post where I said the super bowl will be a super spreader event. Thank you.

Another day, hospitalizations up again! We are heading toward March and we are not at the .7 RT rate Ms. Judy wanted us to reach in order to prevent another spike! I am trying to warn this board. But it is ok if you don't want to listen. Experts are now saying a surge will happen. One doctor in the below article even stated "The US has to prepare for a potentially devasting third wave in March and April" See first article below.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/25/health/us-coronavirus-thursday/index.html

Also- a new variant has been found in New York that so far has shown to evade the vaccine/antibody treatments. See second article below:

At last, see Kurt's numbers below. Hospitalizations up again:

Hello. Following up. I asked you to provide me the post where I said the super bowl will be a "super spreader event". You claimed in one of your posts a couple days ago I said so. Please share this post.

Add in the context.
New Covid admissions in NJ are the lowest they have been since October.

Ok. Are you denying what experts have been warning about the next couple months?

Phenomenal the numbers are low now! But unfortunately they will go up again soon.

I never said that, liar. I said experts said it, troll.

Not denying anything. I have my opinions based on the trends and efficacy of the vaccine.

Just saying if you look at todays hospital numbers in NJ and think that is a sign of bad news, you are ignoring that the trends in hospitalizations in NJ is actually pretty positive.

Governor Murphy is now warning us about the New York variant. "God help us if we see a similar situation to last March and April. So far this variant has been evading Antibody treatments".

@Merge @shu09 Kurt is starting to realize case numbers are going back up. We have to wait on hospitalizations now. This is possibly the beginning of the late Feb/March spike experts have warned about. I have been trying to warn this board, but unfortunately people did not want to listen.

Governor murphy mentioned on morning joe this morning its still "several months" away until "open season" for vaccines. I supposed vaccines were going to be available to the general public in may. Looks like that is no longer the case.

@Merge The governor also mentioned on "Morning Joe" this morning that people in this state will still be following "mask wearing/social distancing" even after we reach herd immunity and have the cases down to the necessary baseline. Joe even asked the governor do you see mask mandates enforced in your state a year from now? Governor murphy answered saying "That's not out of the question.". It appears you will not be posting on this board after Labor day.

Positivity rate and change in hospitalizations.

^ Those are the only metrics which will make me reassess my expectation.

Right now, both are trending in the right direction.

I was told repeatedly on this board that I would be wrong about a march spike and the variants causing us to move backwards. It appears we are heading in the direction. Unfortunately it appears I will be right again.

@Merge Kept on telling me we are heading toward of this pandemic. I don't think that's the case.

Another article pointing to the fact all of our progress could be on the brink of being wiped out. I stressed this to this board the last couple weeks, and no one wanted to listen.

Deaths went up 2% this week. Per what you said I should find a "new schtick". However it looks like you are going to be wrong. A new surge is coming.

And the percent positive in NJ at 6.4% is the lowest it has been in 4 months, and trending downward.

Deaths are a lagging indicator.
Lowest positivity rate and lowest currently hospitalized since October. You do need a new schtick. This is almost over.

So just to confirm. You are 100% disagreeing with the experts/science on the predictions on the next few weeks? Correct?

They aren't giving predictions, they are warning people so they take it seriously. It is a campaign to make sure people want to get vaccinated.

While a 2% increase in cases seems like it would not be the direction you want to go... The current 7 day average positivity rate across the country is the lowest it has been since October 14th. Yesterday being the lowest single day since October 5th.

I thankfully got a ticket for Wednesday night but I have decided not to go. The variant news is getting worse by the day and I unfortunately think their will be some spread of the virus at the game.

I'll let Tim Mcloone know to cancel his welcome announcement to the Atlantic County citizen of the year award recipient.

Correction. It is not Atlantic County citizen of the the year. I have won my towns citizen of the year in Atlantic County. Unfortunately no one on this board is willing to research further.

Hi @Merge. The WHO thinks it "premature" and "unrealistic" to think the pandemic will end at the end of 2021. It more likely appears you will not be posting on the board after Labor day.

In the US
Lowest number of daily cases since October 13.
Lowest positivity rate since October 3rd.
Lowest number of hospitalized Covid patients since October 29th.

We vaccinated 40x the number of people who had a positive test result yesterday.

Im not saying it will be eradicated. It won’t be.
what I’m saying is that the vulnerable population will soon be protected and once they are, the restrictions will end shortly after.

This is correct, but it will be the ultimate reveal regarding whether the restrictions were solely about the virus or used the virus as an excuse for a power grab. If they don't go away....

Sure, I just don't see it happening though... Even assuming all of the motivation was political (which I don't agree with) why wouldn't they want to take credit for defeating the virus? If the hospitalizations and deaths are exceedingly rare, you think Murphy is going to keep restrictions in place for no reason heading into an election?

Yes I think he could. He will just say this is the "New Normal".

He will treat the virus in a self serving way. We know this playbook.

That may be true.
Since, you know the play book, can you define what that looks like?

Assume hospitalizations and deaths are very low, the vaccine is effective and everyone who wants to get vaccinated will be vaccinated at some point by the end of June.

What would be the ideal action from a governor as of July 1st?
What do you think Murphy will do that is self serving?
