(Lunardi's Latest Bracketology seeding)
Wake Forest @ Pitt (11, last 4 byes)
South Carolina (7) @ Missouri
Creighton (lurking) @ Butler (first 4 out)
Mich (8) @ Ohio St.
URI @ VCU (10)
Florida (9)
@ Georgia (lurking)
Vandy(11, last 4 in)
@Miss St.

Also of interest, Ole Miss @ Tex A&M

Most bubble teams tonight trying to avoid the bad loss. Georgia trying to creep inside the top 50 for us.

no wonder Wake Forest is 1-12. Just some atrocious play here by them. They have Pitt on the ropes in OT and can't finish.

Pitt sure doesn't meet the eye test. but they avoid a terrible home loss.

South Carolina loses to RPI 199 Missouri.
Michigan losses to Ohio St.

Vandy collapse at Miss St. RPI 177ish last night dealt them a huge blow.
They are now 15-11 with an rpi at 67 4-9 against top 100 2-8 on the road. They're not eliminated with games @Florida,Kentucky, and @Tex A&M but a big loss last night.

Yeah, that was a massive blow for Vandy. Blew a big lead too.

Thanks for posting the games, I tuned into Pitt-Wake last night. Forgot Danny manning took the Wake job. God they were brutal. I was about to blast Wake for throwing away an inbounds pass at the end of the game when they had a timeout in their pocket, but then...you know....

Interested to see how St. Joe's does tonight. They have alot of wins, but not really any good ones. They get Dayton in Philly tonight. Villanova also plays Temple.

Wednesday
Seton Hall (11,last 4 byes) @ Gtown

Dayton @ St. Joes (10)..huge opportunity
Nova @ Temple (11)..huge opportunity
Cuse(10)
@ UL
BC @ Clemson (first 4 out)
Prov(7)
@ X
GW (in contention) @ Duquesne
St. Bon (next 4 out) @ La Salle
Nebraska @ Indiana (6)
Bama (first 4 out)
@ LSU (7)
Oklahoma @ TTech (next 4 out)..huge opportunity
Gtech @ FSU (12, last 4 in)
Arizona St
. (a win may put them in the conversation) @ Zona
Colorado (8) @ USC (7)..both will probably be in.

Colorado's resume is very light but they are RPI darlings this year. NC SOS of 114 in the RPI, 254 in at KenPom. Best road win is at Stanford which is 12-11 (5-7).

Based on Pomeroy, they're a bubble team at best. But they keep winning games against mediocre teams by the skin of their teeth. I hope they start losing, beginning tonight.

You know which resume I like to laugh at that Lunardi will always give the benefit of the doubt to? St. Joe's - best wins are Princeton, GW, and Temple. Only 3 top 100 wins, 6-0 vs sub 200 (with more to come from the A10). The fact that they haven't suffered a loss to anyone outsie the top 70 is helping their case right now. I hope Dayton rips them to shreds tonight.

I think St. Joe's will win tonight and I also think they should be an NCAA team when all is said and done.

I don't think Dayton is all that great. 8-2 in games decided by 5 points or less. That has to correct at some point you would think. I'd love to see Dayton as a higher (3-4-5-6) seed in my NCAA bracket rather than a team like Duke, Miami, West Virginia, Iowa State, Indiana at a similar seed line.

Good points on Dayton. My wife went to URI and we watched as they beat them on a 3 pt. shot with 5 seconds left last Friday night. Lunardi has SJU moving up to a 10 seed. Not an impressive resume, but they keep winning and their numbers do stack up because of that. Florida winning last night helps them. Duke is moving back up for seeding after dropping out of the top 25. Same with Indiana after getting knocked out of being ranked they took advantage of the bottom of the B1G and then had some good wins.

Nice wins by SJU and Texas Tech tonight. LSU loss to Alabama certainly hurts them.

Most important. SHU won.

Biggest winners of the night:
St. Joes's good rpi #s and now a signature win.
TTech 3 straight wins against top 25 teams. tip your hat. Big 12 will probably get 7 of 10 teams in the dance.

Biggest Losers:
St. Bon which held their hat on a good rpi just lost to rpi 243 La Salle
FSU home vs rpi 85 Gtech. A 3-1 finish @Vtech @Duke NDame and Cuse might be necessary.

Missed opportunity:Temple @Nova; Cuse @ UL

Finished: ASU, Gtown

Alabama is also a big winner tonight. Creeping up into the NCAA mix. Some very good wins on their resume.

They are 22 and 4. They are firmly in after cruising past Dayton last night. Probably top 25 come Monday.

Now that St. Joes in firmly in, you'll start to see Lunardi give us some love. FWIW, the A10 is garbage this year.

Thursday

Missouri St.@ Wichita St. (7)
SMU @Uconn (9)
Cincy (12, last 4 in) @ Tulsa (next 4 out)
Wisconsin (9)
@ Mich St.
Pacific @ Gonzaga (9)
St. Mary's
(first 4 out) @ Portland
Utah @ UCLA (in consideration)
Cal (7)
@ Washington (first 4 out)

Most over rated seeding?
How about Gonzaga? Two neutral wins at thanksgiving against bubble teams (Uconn and Washington). Hasn't beat a team ranked higher than RPI 107 since those thanksgiving games. 2-6 against top 100. 0-2 against only legitimate teams in conference (St. Mary's and BYU). So the reason they are ranked so high? BPI. Their RPI ranking is 59 but their BPI ranking is 30, which is in line with a 8 or 9 seed. The difference being that when Gonzaga puts 30 point beat downs against Pepperdine, San Fran, Portland and Loyola Marymount (RPI 107,226,244,222) those wins are valued higher than Seton Hall's wins against RPI top 100 teams Georgia, Wichita St., and Gtown).

We can't complain too much, Wichita St. has similar results to Gonzaga and since we beat them, we like that BPI has them ranked at 26 while their RPI is 50.

BPI rewards blowing out bad teams, especially on the road. Next game: @ St. John's.

WSU is also 14 in KenPom with the #2 Defense (was #1 before Valpo hopped them Tuesday). 22 in Sagarin. RPI is one of the few rankings that doesn't like WSU. I thank the MVC for that and its lack of Top 100 teams.

Because of their SOS from the weak conference. Look at the teams they're playing. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/standings/conference/MVC

Plus they were a mess during the non-conference schedule with the injuries. I think after they lost to us they were just 5-5.

I'm a WSU fan .. Don't have to tell me how bad our conference is :) .. 18 straight potential bad losses with zero chance to actually get a quality win after the Turn of the year. We had a solid NCSOS (top 10 by most rankings) but were heavily injured or missing players (2 of the top 6 players missing for Tulsa, 3 for USC and Bama, 4 for Iowa) for 4 of the 5 losses.

Wichita State belongs in the tourney hands down. Class act coach great tournament players in Van Vleet and Baker, and great fans. Love watching that team play.

Stickboy, I saw Witchita was adding football. Any chance of a conference change in the future? I saw some of the American conf schools were talking about adding WSU

I completely agree. Our resume isn't great, but if it comes down to the "eye test", I don't think you can leave them out.

We are talking about all of that. WSU President Bardo launched a 'comprehensive review" of all athletics. Everything is on the table from adding football, adding other sports, even switching conferences. Bardo has had a vision for WSU and tends to move pretty quickly. He's already brought in consultants and recently posted a picture of an actual football helmet he had them design.

He recently shut down the 18 hole golf course that in on the WSU campus, and is using part of that land for an "Innovation Campus". Its a mixed used area, with retail, shops, restaurants, office spaces, classroom, and research. Several of the large aviation companies and engineering companies are planning on locating workers there. This would allow students to work hands on with companies doing real projects and real research, right on campus along with improving the overall quality of living on campus.
There is still a large tract of land that is unused that used to be part of that golf course that if needed could be used for a new stadium. We have a stadium that seats about 30k on campus already but its very old and would need renovations to be used for DI football. It currently houses the track and field teams.

In summary, yes, a conference change is very possible.

Here is a link to the official announcement and clarification of the "review"

And some info on the Innovation campus stuff if anyone is interested.

Been lurking in this great thread as well - Chris McManus (shuhoops.com) posted a cool weekend bubble guide for Hall fans (http://shuhoops.com/seton-hall-basketball/bubble-watch-weekend-rooting-guide-seton-hall-a-10-seed/) so if no one minds here's Saturday's key games, bubble teams in bold -

Georgia at Vanderbilt (Noon ESPN2) – Vanderbilt is one of the first four teams out and Georgia is obviously a school that Seton Hall has beaten. Easy to pick who to root for here.
Pittsburgh at Syracuse (2pm ESPN2) – The Cuse are a little bit more safely in than Pittsburgh, who are squarely on the bubble.
Miss State at Alabama (230pm SEC Network) – Would be bad loss for bubble-locked ‘Bama.
Florida State at Virginia Tech (3pm ESPN3) – See Alabama.
Butler at Villanova (230 FOX) – Butler is slightly behind Seton Hall in the current NCAA pecking order. Most would probably say you should root against the Bulldogs, though I don’t necessarily agree.
UConn at Cincinnati (4pm ESPN2) – Third-straight bubble game on ESPN2. Bearcats need a win after losing to Tulsa.
LSU at Tennessee (530pm ESPNU) – Another chance for an SEC team to pick up a loss that would hurt.
Stanford at Washington (8pm PAC12) – Huskies are first team out according to ESPN.
Texas Tech at Oklahoma State (930pm ESPNU)
Saint Mary’s at Gonzaga (10pm ESPN2) – There’s a lot of incentive to watch this annual rivalry outside of NCAA implications, but SMC is currently outside of most projected fields while Gonzaga is between a 9-11 seed, upping the incentive for sure.
Oregon State at Oregon (10pm PAC12) – Oregon is seeking a marquee win when they travel to Oregon in this Civil War on hardwood.

A few more bubble games.
SC (8) beat Florida (7)
St. Joes (8) @
Davidson
Clemson(first 4 out) @ NC State
Stanford @ Washington (first 4 out)
Colorado(8)
@ UCLA (in contention)
