Most people will accept shutdowns and masks due to a pandemic.
Those same people will not accept it outside of a pandemic.
Sure they will.
When there is no longer a reason to wear a mask due to a pandemic, they will no longer require one.
That's where I disagree. Sometime in the future the CDC will provide guidance that face coverings will "prevent common respiratory illnesses and a future pandemic". The government will then use that guideline to enforce a mask mandate always indoors.
People in Asian countries have volunteerarily worn masks when sick as a courtesy to others for many decades
If you haven’t noticed, we are not a compliant society that provides that kind of courtesy. And why would the public conform to political leaders that have a disgraceful approval rating. You will never get 100% compliance but having an adult conversation and making recommendations versus having silly rules and mandates while calling the public knuckleheads is not a winning strategy in America.

sounds fine. i'd wear a mask in public whenever i'm sick forever. we'd all be sick less in the first place if people did that
no, you should stay home if possible. but the question presumed you were sick and out of the house. sometimes you need to go to the doctor when you're sick

Each country will face their own set of challenges with the virus. He just meant that the virus is really contagious and will likely not be eradicated around the world. Kind of like how H1N1 is still around, but not nearly close to what it was 10 years ago.
He also said a couple days ago that there will be a vaccine by late 2020 or early 2021 and everyone will have the opportunity to be vaccinated in 2021 and things will be back to normal.
He didn't say things will get back to normal. I watched the interview. You are incorrect there.
Also how can you say we will back to normal in 2021? This will be the worst economic collapse since the civil war and great depression. 2021 will not be like normal at all. Our country will be in recovery for several years to come. We will probably never see "normal" again.

Everything he was "wrong" about was in the context of that moment and he was usually also discussed how quickly things could change.
Also... you said he didn't say what he said. So regardless of if he will be wrong or right in a year, lets at least present what he is saying accurately.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Too many sheep/uneducated people in this country who just listen to and follow the media/politicians and don't think for themselves.
Yup, now Dr. Doom is saying "you must never abandon the public health approach" because the vaccine may not be effective. They are just softening us up for more to come. This has been in the works for some time in my opinion.
