Jersey Shore Nightclub Closes for 2020 Summer

So literally the beach will be open. Not much else

Rest room facilities will be open and boardwalk eating establishments can be open for take out. And that's just for now.

I'll be at the beach tomorrow and Saturday. I'll take some precautions, will wear a mask some of the time, not while I'm on the beach, will maintain safe distance from others, etc.

I have made the very hard decision to permanently shelter in place during this pandemic. I will miss the summer on the Jersey shore and being outside. But it is 100% my decision to completely stay home. I want to tell my children and grandchildren that I did my part during this horrific pandemic. I am not looking forward to this winter at all.

Ridiculous? Pretty much. The face masks the public wears are nothing more than window dressing, they don't protect much. It's the old fascist government refrain of "We just have do something!!!"

Face masks and hazmat suits are not the new normal unless you are a hypochondriacal freak. How come essential workers like cops are not wearing hazmat suits currently?

Homerun post!

Shutting down like Los Angeles is till August is lunacy. That poor barber in the state of Michigan. The virus is here. To shut down until we get vaccine is lunacy x10. No cure for aids, cancer, common cold, etc. I'm not a believer in masks, but i have one with me at all times and i use judgement, and wear as appropriate, but like Portnoy stated, if it helps .01 % to help others, i agree because I do it. I believe the majority is smart enough to social distance. Tracing is worthless in big cities. But as Adam Schiff said it is above our pay grade. I believe we our smart enough to navigate these waters.

I personally, will live my life and the MSM will not dictate it, when my time comes it comes. I certainly will not wear a wearing hazmat suit. Time is to precious. I will live my life in the pursuit of happiness instead of living in a bunker. Our economy needs to open up, and I believe all of us SHU grads picked a field where we could use our SHU to make a difference.

@PeeBag-SHU I do live my life with full happiness. I am at peace right now knowing that I will not be infected because my family and I will not be going outside at all.

This is a horrible, horrible time. If more people are going outside the higher chance this virus will last a lot longer. I would advise you to listen to the health experts. STAY HOME AND SAVE LIVES!

I'll also show my kids and grandkids the photo of myself finally walking outside of my house with my hazmat suit on and giving a thumbs up. This will probably be sometime in 2021. I will definitely be getting emotional that day.

You're such a tool. The act is old. You're not some hero.

@kniespolice Some hero? I'm just trying to live my like the safest and fullest way possible during this pandemic. Not trying to be a hero. Just trying to educate people on here of the grave dangers of this pandemic. Please explain more how I am being a tool.

Just ignore him, best thing I ever did on these boards. Trolls are not worth my time.

This virus is just a bit worse than the seasonal flu. Not even that bad if you're younger. That troll treats it like Smallpox.

That condition can happen after any viral infection and is treatable/not threatening in the vast majority of cases. You really need to work on your understanding of facts. The fear mongering has worked on you, sadly.

Yep. Over 100 children now have symptoms similar to the Kawasaki syndrome. This narrative from @shu09 is getting old.

These type of responses seriously are a joke. This guy doesn't care if these children get these illnesses. Really sick. Happy he ignores me!

Your story is so extreme no one can believe it ... Hazmat suit thumbs up with tears flowing down your cheek. Come on now.

I mean that's what's going to happen. I'm not going out of my house until this pandemic is fully over. And definitely in a hazmat. I will definitely be emotional since it will be the first time I will be leaving the house in 1 or 2 years.

So any past cases of this was not made aware in the news but now that covid is in effect it is in the news as a fear tactic to the public got it

Who is the health expert that I must listen intently?

Damn right I’m proud of my SHU education, and on the front line working. Keep talking your nonsense and wear your hazmat and buy some stock in Farrowtech!

oh cool between this & your last shitpost now I know to block you too. The list ever increases.

Got a source on that? I thought it was confirmed that it was spread in aerosol, but we aren't sure if the aerosols contained an infectious dose?

It's a droplet virus. You must be kidding. I may disagree with you at times but you're not stupid.

Shu09 is this fear mongering?

In a way, yes. Using a factual study but phrasing the article in a way that makes the reader fearful.

HALL85 summed it up well, although I don't necessarily agree with continuing these draconian distancing policies. I'm a proponent of getting back to normal living with protections for those who are at risk from virus complications.

ok, well if those are opening, that at least provides some amenities...and some opportunities for some of those businesses to get some revenue.

Going to be hard to "police" (a term, not actually police...I hope) social distancing on the beach...just hope all people approach as you indicate and use some common sense.

Hopefully the trajectory continues to move in the right direction....and more and more gets back to "normal"...even a new normal

Boardwalk Restaurant should be open for take out with line distancing in effect just like NYC.
