Looking at the Hopkins data, and to dare 312k deaths worldwide (US is 25% and we’ve been in shelter in place) and cases/fatalities look to be occurring across the board at a reduced rate. Some countries have incredibly low numbers (Israel 271, Greece 162, New Zealand 21, Hungary 451, Norway 232, Australia 98, etc.) I can understand island nations that have natural containment. But what have these other countries done to minimize cases and casualties? What underlying demographics, population health or cultural manifestations? Europe is fascinating because there are extremes from one country to the next. I was surprised at Israel’s low numbers. The data will provide a lot of necessary insight.
