Expect 4 years of Republican Derangement Syndrome. Whatever pronoun this poster goes by is the gift that keeps on giving. Are you offended? Is he wrong?
so you're saying you hit your kids with a belt? Are you offended? Is he wrong?
I'm not condoning hitting anyone with a belt, I was never hit with a belt although I will say the fear of the belt was good deterrent in my my life. Maybe you were a better kid than I was, you probably were, but the fear of a timeout, wouldn't have set me on the right path one bit. I'll bet these pills are linked to deaths (suicides) a lot more than any belts were. So I'll return the question to you, you're ok with giving your kids pills that could lead to suicide?so you're saying you hit your kids with a belt?
Calling a blonde woman Barbie (who isn’t dressed up for Halloween or Margot Robbie) is sick
This is 1000%Amazing how many people are for popping pills that treat the symptoms but never address the core issues.
1) parental abuse has led to more suicides than adderall absolutely yesI'm not condoning hitting anyone with a belt, I was never hit with a belt although I will say the fear of the belt was good deterrent in my my life. 1) Amazing how you group all parental abuse, but only take 1 pill. I'll stick with the stance that adderall has killed more than any belt has. Or if you want to make it all inclusive, pills have killed more than parental abuse, but stop with this all parent abuse vs 1 pill comparison.1) parental abuse has led to more suicides than adderall absolutely yes
2) prescription medicine should only be used as advised and under doctor supervision so it can be stopped at the first sign of adverse reaction. are they overprescribed? yeah sure probably. beating up your kids is not the answer to that as much as you'd like it to be
"my 10 year old might get erectile dysfunction, i better beat him to within an inch of his life" -- SHUHoopsFan1) Amazing how you group all parental abuse, but only take 1 pill. 2) Where did I say beating up your kids is the answer. You're good at putting words into peoples mouths. Pills should be used under a doctor supervision, but even under supervision, they still have the risk. Adderall has these risks. restleness, difficulty sleeping, headaches, dizziness, visual changes, alteration in sexual performance, constipation, diarrhea, nausae, vomiting, hallucinations, paranoia exacerbation of existing mental illness, excessive body temperature, heart attack, stroke, damage to nerve cells, seizures, psychosis, and abnoral heart rhythms. Sign your kid up for those risks.
You can't discuss the topic so you make up the most bizarre comparison you could come up with. I could do the same thing and it just turns into I know you are but what am I."my 10 year old might get erectile dysfunction, i better beat him to within an inch of his life" -- SHUHoopsFan
yeah i agree i would never beat my child. apparently you think it's good? sickYou can't discuss the topic so you make up the most bizarre comparison you could come up with. I could do the same thing and it just turns into I know you are but what am I.
"I'd rather my 10 year old die of a heart attack than threaten him with a belt" - Itsacurse
You agree you'd rather your kid have a heart attack than threaten him?yeah i agree i would never beat my child. apparently you think it's good? sick
the risk of my kid getting a heart attack from ADHD medicine is effectively zero, way less than say, getting in a bus accident on the way to school, or slipping on ice and hitting his head. This is what everyone on earth calls "acceptable risk" i.e. getting out of bed in the morning creates the risk of dying. But again your answer to this is apparently terrorizing children and whipping them with your belt every day of their lives. That gets a no from me.You agree you'd rather your kid have a heart attack than threaten him?
Show me the text I said it's good to beat your kid with a belt. I would love to see it.the risk of my kid getting a heart attack from ADHD medicine is effectively zero, way less than say, getting in a bus accident on the way to school, or slipping on ice and hitting his head. drugs help people when they aren't abused. beating children hurts children. i know which side i'm onShow me the text I said it's good to beat your kid with a belt. I would love to see it.
But if you want to have a real conversation, ADHD stimulants may be low risk of heart attack but they do damage the heart.
Acceptable risk is a heart attack? No that shouldn't be acceptable risk. No child should have to take on that risk from a drug. Let's cure the problem, not the symptoms of the problem and the child won't need acceptable risk of a heart attack. Only in America is that acceptable risk. The rest of the developed world, wouldn't accept that, just like they don't accept so many of the ingredients in our food.
I will say the fear of the belt was good deterrent in my my life.
The fear of the belt excited you. It explains a lot.Where did I say beating up your kids is the answer.
Do you really think drugs don't do harm, even when not abused? Main you're brainwashed.drugs help people when they aren't abused. beating children hurts children. i know which side i'm on
Your attempt at subtle humor is not always going to hit the mark. It’s not a debate. Clearly this is all the fault of lifelong politicians like 45/47
Don't panic. No matter how many times he misses the mark on subtle humor, you'll still be #1 in that category.Your attempt at subtle humor is not always going to hit the mark.
Do you really think drugs don't do harm, even when not abused? Main you're brainwashed.
Still waiting for you to show me where I said beating children is a good thing.
More like almost always a missYour attempt at subtle humor is not always going to hit the mark.
I think the belt comment by the pol was kinda a colloquial referenceProbably because you only went after the idea of pills not addressing the issue, as if to suggest that a belt would be addressing the issue, though that's likely not what you intended.
I never said pills don't address the issue, I said the pills are more likely to cause death than the threat of a belt And for the record Tubervile never said parents beat their kids with the belt, like many families I know the belts got taken out, not used. It was pretty common 50+ years ago. Then the idiot decided to make it parental abuse in general causes more deaths than 1 pill adderall. What a great comparison.Probably because you only went after the idea of pills not addressing the issue, as if to suggest that a belt would be addressing the issue, though that's likely not what you intended.
Your work tends to be subtle but the payoff is there for those who look.More like almost always a miss
HahaYour work tends to be subtle but the payoff is there for those who look.
everything does harm. being alive does harm. drinking a cup of coffee and eating a banana do some degree of harm to your body. but the positives outweigh the negatives. some people have problems that drugs can help mitigate. what never helps is hitting a child with a belt. it only causes pain and fear, and it makes your child more likely to beat their children.Do you really think drugs don't do harm, even when not abused? Main you're brainwashed.
Still waiting for you to show me where I said beating children is a good thing.
You did though.I never said pills don't address the issue

They treat the symptoms not the problem. The overexaggerater never referenced that and was not something I mentioned talking to him.You did though.
Do you agree there's a difference between getting hit and getting beat? If not I don't know what to say. Tons of stories of seeing friends getting hit with a wooden spoon, nobody was ever beat with one. MAJOR DIFFERENCE.I get why you want to translate that into something that is convenient for your argument, but that's not what he actually said. He said they "used the belt, whipped our butt"
Do you agree there's a difference between getting hit and getting beat? If not I don't know what to say.
Amazing how you won't answer that question. Because nobody ever said beating a child was ok. EVER. But you've been defending the jackass who has been saying I said that the entire time. That's why I said beat in the previous response. You want to get so technical with the terms. That's exactly what I said. It's exactly what you quoted. Amazing how Tuberville who was whipped isn't crying about it, pained and fearful. He sure as hell doesn't sound like someone who was beat with it. Might have been hit with it, but beat no. Like I said many families took them out, not used them. The threat was my experience. Some may have used them. I'll bet very rare cases were kids beat with them to the point where the risk of those side effects of drugs are higher. Everyone knew everyone's business back in the day. People were outside, not inside watching tv. Everyone was outside playing at night. You'd see a kid who was beat with red marks all over them if that was the case.Amazing you went from just a threat, to now getting hit and you’re acting like it’s the same thing. Downplaying getting whipped by a belt like it’s perfectly normal parenting just because you thought Tubberville said something else.
It excites him.Amazing you went from just a threat, to now getting hit and you’re acting like it’s the same thing. Downplaying getting whipped by a belt like it’s perfectly normal parenting just because you thought Tubberville said something else.
the man simply loves the idea of children getting beaten senseless it seems like!It excites him.
Amazing how you won't answer that question

you still haven’t answered, but you admit there’s a difference between a whip and a beating. Maybe you can explain them for a itsacurse. And when I mentioned a threat it was either about my experience, friends experiences or a response to an exaggeration that I’m ok with a kid to be beat within an inch of their life. Where were you saying I didn’t that? Clearly that wasn’t ever said. But you like to nit pick my responses. The question of getting hit vs beat?
I’ll answer any question here, that one did not seem relevant as Tubberville said whip and you said he said threaten. Things that are very different.
Clearly, I know the difference between a threat, a whip and a beating.
please we all know tuberville was talking about disciplining children. It was common. It’s not like anyone here is hearing for the first time a belt or a wooden spoon was used. You never sat across a table with someone tuberville’s age and heard of a belt or a wooden spoon and 5 other people chimed in with stories? Or is this all new to you? Instead you just exaggerate it to child abuse to fit your argument.I mean if you’re getting to the point of child abuse, that would be incorrect. There is a significant increase in suicide rates of abused children.
