The great city of Newark is putting a mandatory mask requirement in effect for all indoor public places. Does this mean people will be required to wear masks inside the Prudential center?

Correct! I told everyone on the board a couple months ago we would be wearing masks at the rock at some point! This will be pretty "normal" the next few seasons. Mask season because of Covid spikes.
A very frightening statistic. Our hospitals might be on the brink of collapse. They won't be able to support if the variant keeps in spreading exponentially like this.
How isn't this true? We still have a large unvaccinated population. I would definitely see a huge hospitalization spike in the next 2 weeks. I'm shocked someone in the medical field can't see this coming.

Cloth masks are the worst option for masks, and this variant appears to be spreading much easier than past variants so if you’re concerned, wear a better mask.
Wow! The posts here are all over the map. My Doctor is the infectious disease specialist that is responsible for Bergen County and one of three on the states task force. He has told me straight up that the following is true;
1. You get vaccinated, you are probably not going to be hospitalized.
2 if your are unvaccinated you have a 98% chance of being hospitalized vs. vaccinated people. Not 98%, 98% over those who are vaccinated.
3. The vaccine will not stop breakthrough infections, just lessen them.
4. 30% of the people who are unvaccinated who end up in the hospital and get a robust version of the virus. They end up on a vent.
5. If you end up on a vent, you have a 30% chance of dying.
6. Masks help but do not stop transmission. Cloth masks are only moderately effective in stopping transmission. N95 masks are 98% more effective.
These numbers are real. The facts are real. Anyone who says otherwise is lying and using the lie for some alternative motive. Some are just scared others, well their beliefs are not in line with real science. Those people may be the major reason for the perpetuation of the virus and the potential collapse of some parts of our hospital system in places that can I’ll afford to have the pandemic fill their ICU’s.

I have provided you with studies previously which showed they did limit the amount of a virus an infected person would spread into the air around them, but they don’t offer you personal protection on their own. Been telling you that for a while now.
If in December 2021, you’re still wearing a cloth mask for personal protection against Covid, then you have head your head in the sand on this topic.
That last one was from a year and a half ago.
Missed what happened, but most of these conversations would probably be better without the anonymity.
