SHU v Prov Gamethread

they played same amount of guys, and had less bench minutes. is 14 days off that much different from 17 or whatever it is?
Yes, when you spend those days not practicing or locked in your dorm room

Yes I do, our guys who played were drained, out of position, and we drew up fouls and had nobody to compliment them, and that Watson guy as good as he may be, did not have the defense we would normally have on him with our big men

he just had a very bad game. his whole game relies on making hairbag midrange shots and they didnt fall tonight. he couldnt even get them off. youre going to get some of these games.
When’s the last time you saw Jared get blocked once in a game much less 3 times? It isn’t like Horchler is quick at all. Rhoden couldn’t jump. He was depleted.

Rhoden was also too predictable. When you don't pass the ball enough, that's what happens.

If we had our full bench, we would have been able to wear down Cooley's starters.
maybe. ike would be a difference maker but hes been out prior. gotta be able to win games and not use injuries as an excuse. again, our bench played more mins so idk if more bench guys was really the answer. in fact im confident it wasnt.

Aiken and Harris awful three point shooting cost us the game.

Game was lost for a number of reasons.

1) short handed and limited practice time over the last two weeks
2) terrible defense on Horchler
3) poor fast break execution/missing shots at the rim
4) poor three point shooting

All that and we were in the game on the road against a top 25 team. Shows you how good this team can be that even with all that went wrong/was going against it last night, they were in the mix.
