Pathetic. The energy difference was obvious from the tip-off. This team is banking on beating Nova and Depaul at home to make it. Good luck.
It goes back to the Willard days, which Sha probably learned from. Our scouting reports/preparation completely ignore players low on the depth chart. It's why so many guys get career highs against us. Tonight, I thought it would be Jasen Green LOL.
We just do not look ready. Our game plan on the offensive end looks like a rerun of last time we played Creighton. But they adjusted to our game.
This is beyond disappointing. You MUST embrace playing on the road. Your basketball IQ can't drop to this level.
Honestly, what did this team practice the last few games. Did they not think Creighton would eventually start hitting wide open 3s. Just a terrible job of preparing and giving zero effort in D
The key is to fight thru screens and never let them have room to shoot the 3. We are just not good at that
Look at the quality of shots they get versus the low quality shots we get. That's the difference.
Wish we had one. Can't remember the last time the Hall had a guy like that. Rimas maybe?

But they are not a good team, a streaky team with little depth and large variance and regardless of head coach can not really defend what creighton runs and bad at that venue

It's a good question. We seem to prefer streetballers and one on one playmakers versus fundamentally sound, team players. Been this way for a while now, under multiple staffs.
Getting so damn tired of us not being able to beat creighton and nova. These are beatable schools, yet it seems like, in many cases, we don’t even show up! You would think it would be a point of emphasis with Sha to turn our fortunes around against these opponents, but he and the team keep getting punked by them.
We should have taken care of business when we had creighton on the ropes on our home floor - bad calls or not. We should have shown up for the road games at nova and tonight. None of that happened, and this is the unfortunate position we find ourselves in. Very frustrating. I mean, this is a crucial game, and it’s like the team should not have even bothered to show up. Same thing with the nova game. Unacceptable performances.
