Moderna vaccine induced antibodies in all trial participants: paper

In NJ you are going against an executive order by not adhering to mask policy indoors, the store can ask you to leave and if you dont comply the cops will come because ultimately it will become an escalated situation

yeah and ultimately if you refuse to wear a mask, a simple request, you're not rebelling against the governor, or striking a blow for freedom, you're placing the enforcement onus on a low wage worker who's just trying to get through the day in a high risk environment. that makes anyone who values "freedom" more a jerk. and everyone else has the freedom to lose all respect for you as a human being

Yes you can. There is an executive order issued in NJ for mask wearing indoors. This executive order will not just disappear after the pandemic is over. Are you not aware of the NJ executive order?

And how is that being enforced? Have you read of any arrests for violating that order? What is the fine for failing to wear a mask?

@donnie_baseball You asked so see another article below. Please note this executive order will stay in tact way after Coronavirus. I guess you are cool with the government telling us what to do.

https://www.nj.com/hudson/2020/07/n...-to-wear-mask-in-bayonne-fast-food-joint.html

He wasn't charged for not wearing a mask.

He was charged for disorderly conduct after being asked by the police to leave the establishment.

No one will be forced to wear a mask. You can be denied entry and service and if you act like the knucklehead in the article, you may end up in trouble. Same deal as requiring a shirt or shoes.

Hi @donnie_baseball yes people are getting arrested for not wearing a mask in NJ. See example below. This has happened multiple times if you follow the news.

https://nypost.com/2020/04/14/new-jersey-man-arrested-twice-for-not-wearing-mask-in-wawa-stores/

Same deal with this. He was not arrested for not wearing mask. He was arrested for:

"Stephen Breza, 70, first entered a Wawa store shortly before 11 a.m. and “allegedly started screaming, flailing his arms, and cursing at employees” when he was told to wear a mask, according to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.

Breza then told another customer he was going to bash him with a pipe, officials said."

Wasn't he also charged with violating the emergency order? That's also on the article. He was violating the emergency order because he wasn't wearing a mask.

Hi @HALL85. Did you read the full article that Pirata quoted out of? Did you care to read the rest of the article? The article states that this guy was charged with violating the emergency order. That charge was brought up because he didn't have a mask on.

First off, I asked for the article about your award. It's likely there is no such award, just like there's probably no sick household member where you live. The man from Brooklyn was not charged with violating the EO, and the man from NJ likely would have avoided that fate, had he not made terroristic threats. You are a troll with -- apparently -- all the time in the world to continue to make circular arguments with everyone. Out of one side of your mouth, you spout conspiracy theories about governmental mind-melds, then the other side informs us that you happily wear full PPE in your own house (though you never leave it). I think most would agree that it would be preferable if you would just go back to being Pedro Pantilones, rather than trying to back-channel harass everyone here.

Right I just told Pirata that the NJ guy did get charged with the EO. You asked me if I heard of anyone get arrested for violating the executive order. Then I shared that article.

And to clarify I am not a troll. I am doing what is best for my family right now. I wear a mask in my house. I have to because of my family members severe illness. I did state to you before that you can message me and we can set up a meeting where I can tell you why I am taking this action.

And at last. I did win my towns award. Feel free to Google it. Like I said I am not sharing the article with someone who name calls me

A cop pulls you over for speeding. You give him a bunch of lip. He gives you a citation for speeding and then says, "oh by the way, you have a cracked left brake light. I issued a citation for that also. Have a nice day".

To make it clear, if either of the knuckleheads would have behaved in a decent fashion they would have been sent on their merry way with no issues. The EO violation was throw in based on their behavior.

No one is being cited solely for not wearing a mask.

First and foremost, I wish you the best with your family health issues. I will say a prayer for you and them.

That being said, your situation is a bit of an anomaly. You viewpoint is heavily skewed by this and many of your posts do not relate well to the majority of the population. Example: I understand why YOU might wear a mask at home or want to wear a hazmat suit but I don't think the rest of the world will be wearing hazmat suits to the grocery store.

Again, I wish only the best for your family.

Thank you for the prayers @Pirata. Prayers for your family as well during this pandemic. I agree my situation is abnormal. My Catholic faith has been extremely strong during this very very difficult time.

Me and my family have been wearing masks in the house the last couple months. Everyone is staying home because of my family members underlying condition. I was hoping to get out of the house soon but unfortunately there is no light at the end of the tunnel right now. It could be another year or two before I know. This virus is running rampant in our country is right now

I guess you don't live in New Jersey. It has moved through here, you can come out. LOL.

Nope. It will be back in Jersey. Trying to warn you guys about the Murphy shut down in September. But its fine if you don't want to listen!

That’s not happening.

I actually believe it is possible, Murphy is drunk on power so much that he just might do it. It's almost like his fetish. He is desperate to do it again, just listen to his words and his tone.

The virus isn't present in NJ on a large scale is what I am saying. It is very safe to go outside in New Jersey today.

Nope. Not with a family member in my household with a very serious underlying condition. Can't risk it. If I did I have to go out in a hazmat suit.

Hi @Merge. Please he advised experts are now pleading with the federal government to enact a national shutdown. The proposal is a 4 to 6 week shutdown of the American economy. The next shutdown is coming! Don't say its not happening!

https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/26/health/us-coronavirus-sunday/index.html

That’s what we should have done from the beginning... but it doesn’t make any sense to shut down NJ again (and many other states) because the virus is currently managed well enough.

If signs start to point to our healthcare system being overwhelmed, I would agree with shutting down again but I do not expect we will come remotely close to that here.

NJ was aggressive in combating the spread. We should not be penalized when data does not support that we should shut down all because other states didn’t take it seriously enough.

Nothing to do with what we are currently talking about.

The measures we took in NJ were effective in limiting the spread of the virus and we don’t need to shut down again because of that fact. Do you agree or disagree with that?
I don’t think we ever needed a complete shutdown.

Disagree. I don’t think we had much of a choice. You err on the side of caution with something like this. You said yourself that you didn’t trust the data coming from China. We had no idea what was coming.

I don’t think people here would have taken it seriously enough on their own and our healthcare system would have been overwhelmed had we not.

That said, what we did worked and the threat has been mitigated. We do not need to shut down NJ again.

I don't trust Murphy! Another shutdown will occur in September. Just before the election!

Another August surprise too. Murphy needs the NJ teachers votes to win the election. He will close schools down as well. NJ students will not be going back to school this September

The next three months could be wild. You're going to see "surprises" come out of everywhere as the democrats and the deep state do everything they can to ensure Trump doesn't win.

His election is nov of 2021 and if the NJ rep party are banking on Jack Ciatrelli, pray for them

I am sure there are many a first time voter and others 22 to 34 that are minorities that will be voting for the first time. To me Trump lack of any real action plan the last 4 months will have cost his chance in November. This has nothing to do with a 1200 stimulus or the 600 dollar a week extra unemployment. Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush and Bush would have all reacted better.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that though.........

Combine that with if I had a dollar every time I heard that the next election is the most important election of our lifetime, we'd have the SPK Dome for Seton Hall sports.

Polls are horrendous for Trump right now. Don’t really need any surprises to convince people Trump should not be president. There is really nothing that could come out to turn any of his current supporters.

Knowing what we know now, we should’ve never had a shut down. If you look at the data all of the focus should have been placed on protecting those most at risk. Shutting down schools colleges and some businesses was a big mistake. Less than 1,000 fatalities nationally under the age of 35.

The more I have been reading the last couple weeks the more I think this is correct. Unfortunately this is becoming more and more political. The big goal is to get trump out of office. And that is why we will see another trip state area shutdown in September

If we had a crystal ball, we could have done better. Sure.

That said... Err on the side of caution and had we not shut down, our healthcare system would have been overwhelmed. We got close weeks after the shut down when new hospitalizations per day peaked in NJ.
